The game crashes and won't get into chapter 4. Does anyone have a saved game to send me or a site that has a saved game at this place? Thanks.

I got them, Thank you! I have 8 saves already for me. I did put your saves in the save folder and I got an error message when I wanted to use them of "game will soon exit with error. not enough bytes left in buffer" so, I renamed your saves to .08 and 0.9 to follow my saves and I still get the error message. Any ideas?

Each saved game is made up of 2 files. One has an extension - .tga and the other .tlj
Be sure that you have both of them with one common number.
I presume that you have the decimal point placed correctly: Save08.tga and Save08.tlj/Save09.tga and Save09.tlj

- If those labeling are correct - maybe you can take 2 of your old saved games and keep them in a safe place (in another folder). Then relabel what I sent to those numbers. Use them as replacement and see if that works.
- If that doesn't work, place your old ones back - so that you won't lose them.

whooo hooo. I got into chapter 4. In the advanced settings, I put all the nob keys totally to the left and that got me into chapter 4. In case anyone else has this trouble, I thought I would tell you what worked for me. Thanks for all your help.

It sounds like even though modern video cards have many times the capabilities of what video cards did in the year TLJ was published (1999 or 2000), that the game is incapable of detecting any of them, and you might as well be using a 20 year old video card with no 3D capability. I suppose it's possible a driver could be produced to "fix" this issue, but video card manufacturers only care about fixing issues with recent big budget games.

I am pretty sure that it has something to do with my video card.

also, after I finally got into chapter 4, I put all my settings to default, as it had run pretty good (except for the police station entrance) and thought I was past the worst. but, in the inn, after just a few minutes in chapter 4, after I sat in the chair the game crashed again, so, I put all those nobby things to the left again and am going to leave them there for the rest of the game. I have learned to save often often often in this game.

Sadly, I have to give up on this fun game. Right after April beats the Clacks guy with the calculator, the game crashes. I have done everything I can to get past it, but, nothing is working. What a darn shame.
