Hi I hope you may be able to help me. I purchased all seasons of " The Descendant" I played episode 1 and now I have found out that Episode 2 is out. I tried to play it and all I get is this message " Preparing to download Descendant " It just sits there I wait about 30 minutes. Tried contacting steam but they are dreadful to contact. Has anyone else having the same problem?

Open your library and select your games.
On the left column you will see if an update is ready or waiting to download.

Sometimes it takes time since they are updating as needed for everyone that opens the library. It's automatic.
You might already be on queue.

Thanks MaG. I checked my library list and there is no news of a download.
I have tried to play the first episode thinking it will just carry on to the 2nd, but all I get is " Preparing to Launch Descendant.
I guess I will just have to wait.

The Descendant episodes 2-5 are DLC('s) and by my experience those are found for download under the main game. Please check there.

Thanks to all for the great help, after much toing and froing, creating new passwords they eventually found my account I have managed to get through to support and left a message, they emailed me back and are looking into my problem. Phew !!!!
