The game is 6 years old. Unfortunately, most people, even if they did play, can't remember what to do.

What a disappointment! So, if you Google the game and "- walkthrough," you don't find anything at all? I've done that with some older games and been surprised what turned up.

There are way more games released than there are walkthrough writers to write guides for them, so whether or not you find a walkthrough for a particular game can be hit or miss. It's always worth checking, though.

If this is one of those old hidden object games without recharging Hints, and you've run out of Hints in a hidden object scene, you'll have to upload a screenshot to tinypic.com or some other image hosting site and post the link to the screenshot here and hopefully some sharp-eyed person will spot the "wrist tie" for you. We used to do that more in this forum several years ago. There were some hidden object games I'd never have finished without getting help that way.

I don't pay much attention to the complaints on the Big Fish forums unless it relates to a technical problem which I'm experiencing. In the many years I've been with Big Fish I've purchased literally hundreds of games. Whenever I've had a problem, I've been satisfied with the response from Big Fish. Big Fish has a set system for handling complaints. There are people who are impatient and people who fail to follow instructions. And I'm sure that, as with any large company, some problems fall through the cracks. Doesn't mean BFG if "giving people the finger". That wouldn't be very good for business. If you consider the large number of BFG members, the complaints are minimal. Bottom line? I wouldn't judge Big Fish based on forum complaints. Just my opinion.

Same here, Sparkle! I've been buying games from them for more than ten years. I take brief notes about each game, so I know if that series is worth looking at again. There are more than 400 games in my database by now, all from BF. Yes, I've bought some games that failed to run properly once in a while, but when I send a note to BF Customer Service advising them of the issue and clearly describing my computer stats and the problem I have with their game, they have never failed to 1) respond immediately to receipt of the query, and 2) get back to mw within a couple of days with an offer of a Game Coupon Code for a new game. Once, I played a game almost all the way through before it hit a snag and kept blowing up. Even though I had gotten appreciable game play out of it already, they STILL sent me a Coupon for another game.

I suspect my experience with them is not unique, since the site still is going strong ten years later (and maybe longer; I don't know when they launched). The games continue to improve in quality over time. I also suspect that the loudest complainers when things go wrong are those who do not know how to write a concise and informative description of what their problem with a game is, send more of a screeching rant than a genuine query to Customer Service, and/or lack the patience to wait for a reply. We all know people like that; they are not unique to gaming sites. Don't let their attitudinal problems be how you judge a game site, or anything else for that matter.

I have to confess that early on I had a hard time figuring out how to send a Dr. Felix. BFG Customer Service was very patient with me and sent instructions that I could understand. Other than that, the system for requesting help from Customer Service is pretty straightforward. Even if you tell them you don't want to bother with a Dr. Felix, they will usually send a coupon code for a free game if your problem is legit.

Yes, Sparkle. Same here. I don't bother with the Dr. Felix thing anymore, since my computer system is so advanced, and not some pastiche of parts cobbled together and barely good enough, like back in the 80's or 90's. If a game won't run for me, which is seldom, it usually is not the fault of my hardware/software.

Family, I understand your issue of getting Help from the various game Forums. I found them unhelpful also, partly because I often bought a game years after everyone else had played and forgotten it. Threads often were old or even closed, and even if someone still was hanging around, they often could not remember the tiny details that were hanging me up. This is one reason why I usually buy the CE version. CE games come with a Game Guide that will hold your hand all the way through. Usually, you don't need this; most of the games are way too easy. But if you get stuck on what to do next or if you can't find something, you can look it up in the Guide.

Yes, CEs cost more than the Standard Game, but you get the Guide and some extra play at the end (Bonus Game). If you buy your games during sales, the CE still only costs $7. It costs more than that to go to the movies these days, and a movie only last two hours. You can play a game for several days, sometimes longer.

family: The forums are for gamers to help each other, give reviews, and report technical problems. If you mean that someone from Big Fish doesn't help with your questions, the moderators in the forums aren't necessarily familiar with every game. And, as has been explained, it's difficult for anyone to remember any particular part of an older game.

The moderators are just that. Moderators. They make sure that the forum runs smoothly and people are following the posting rules. They never were intended to help when someone get stuck.

On that note, I believe that family is saying the forum members do not help each other. THat isn't really accurate as I see tons of threads in which they are helping each other. The key is to play when it releases as others are also playing. In order to see a thread you have to pop into that game forum. The odds that someone is popping into a game discussion from 2012 or even 2015 to see if someone needs help are slim to none. Or if its a current game, some questions go unanswered because they have been asked and answered multiple times already and the person asking is just too lazy to search through previous questions and people get tired of repeating themselves.

And on yet another note, I'll bet that there are lots of folks complaining they don't get help, but also don't help others. You can't always be on the receiving end.

I have no idea what "trick" you tried, but I know for sure you didn't put a link to a screenshot in this forum to get help from other members (which is what I suggested you do earlier in this thread). Maybe you are thinking of advice for a different game in a different thread?
