I believe that this is the fifth game in the Lost Lands series by Five BN - so far, they have all been very good games. I will definitely be checking out the demo on this one. yes

There hasn't been a bad game in this whole Series! Dark Overlord, Four Horsemen, Golden Curse, The Wanderer. All fabulous and I gave them my highest rating. Long games, complex, great puzzles. I rated one of them (Four Horsemen) as in the Top Three of any casuals I've played, and I've played close to 400 now. So tickled to hear there in a new chapter, Ice Spell. I'm on it! happydance

I bought it at the Two-Fer sale today, and began playing it right away. I'm loving it! This game has such a sense of being real, and not just a flat scene. It is so cinematic and the graphics are so clean. Like other games in the series, many of the scenes are vast panoramas in which you really feel the depth of the space. In each, there are a myriad of things to do, and usually, you move on to the next scene without finishing, knowing you will be back.

I find the mini-games in this series to be original and inventive, and usually reflective of the theme of the game (unlike others that plunk down the same puzzles in every game, regardless of story line). It does have HO scenes, but they are nothing like the usual, boring find-the-skillet-in-the-snowbank variety. You have to think about what you need to do next, and interact with the scene, to gradually find and uncover the pieces you need.

This whole series has been outstanding, memorable, and that says a lot, considering the sheer number of these games I've played. I know I will Replay this one, too! happydance

Sorry if I missed the original posting. I'm not able to find it in a Search. I just want to say that this game is particularly well done. The graphics are stunning. I'm reminded of the images in the first Syberia. A good story too. Highly recommend.

I hope you bought the CE.
The SE ends on a stinking cliffhanger.

Hi Sparkle, I merged your post with the previous thread. I haven't played this game yet but am looking forward to playing it. I will definitely purchase the CE when I do, based upon what Jenny and others have mentioned about the main game ending with a cliffhanger. I hope you bought the CE. smile

I'm playing the SE. But I have to say that it's quite a long game in itself.

Well, I finally got around to watching the YouTube of the Bonus game -- and it doesn't resolve the cliffhanger. Instead it's a direct sequel to the very first game in the series, telling what happened to Maaron and Folnur after Susan went back to Earth.
