I am having trouble finding the pumphouse. Been there for a few days just going over the same scenes back and forth. Thought the puzzle piece was a map but cant get anywhere. Can someone tell me what to look for? Getting tired of the same old things. Thank you.

She retired as the administrator and Ana (Browneyedtigre) is the new administrator; this happened last year around the end of June. MaG is still around, though: she still posts at times and helps with the running of the website.

I hope you are doing well. flowers

Catsmom, if you're having trouble finding your way around in that location, note that the map of the area that you have in the inventory indicates where you are with a blinking icon.

I hope you're getting better soon!

Thanks for the good wishes. I finished the game. I will see later if there is another game that I don't have in the series. They are fun but I sure get lost easy. Mikael, are any of the inside house scenes your house?

I always thought that might be the case. You don't come across a PC adventure-game collection like that every day. grin

We certainly hadn't planned 13 sequels when shooting for the first game. But we thought that if we would make another one, it would be wise to use an apartment that we were sure that we had future access to. And it gives us a good reason to tidy the apartment at least once a year.

Write to Mikael about this. I am sure he will be able to figure out the problem you are having.

Jean, You should absolutely talk to Mikael about this. It sounds very strange, especially since you turn the virus program off. The only thing I can think of, without knowing more, is to ask what browser you used? I have seen issues when using Explorer for downloads. Chrome or Firefox are easier to manage. But don't give up, you'll get the game, I can almost promise you that. wink

Jean, we have discussed this via email. I have indeed seen this post, but didn't see the need for discussing it here as well.

Turning off McAfee is not enough. You have to uninstall McAfee and run the McAfee removal tool (MCPR) afterwards. Unless you run the removal tool, programs may continue being blocked even though McAfee is supposedly uninstalled.

Some antivirus allow you to add game .exe's to an "allowed" or "exclusion" list to prevent them from being blocked. This doesn't seem to be functional with McAfee.

The only reason computers ship with McAfee is that the McAfee company pays them to do it. If you want an antivirus that lets in virus while blocking your legitimate programs, McAfee is at the top of the list.

All I can say is that any antivirus program that interfered with my playing my Carol Reed games would have all traces of it immediately removed from my computer.
