Good evening. I have recently bought the above game. I have been getting on very well but have hit a stone wall. I have got as far as the last thing to have picked up was a newspaper showing a professor. Going back to the map I found that two of the places to visit have been "greyed" out and no matter how many times I visit all the places left I can get no further. What am I missing please?

Thank you so much for your help. I have gotten along very well since your suggestions, thank you for them too. I have found all the numbers to the safe bar one, now I am lost. The walkthrough doesn't seem to give you much help as how to get the number to input. I don't think I managed to work out the clock face part but, I got more than lost! Any ideas to the last number or how to get it. please.
