Thanks, Marian! This is one of those "big" series (at least 12 games that I know of and have tried out) where about half the games are stellar and the other half are so simple, so old-fashioned, or so short and easy that they quickly are boring. I will download the Trial Game on this new one and see where it falls.
Reign of Shadows and Endless Night are my favorites, so far. They are well designed, there are good cinematic qualities to both, they are long games with fine puzzles.

TLC, I had the same reaction to this episode. There was way more HO than I remember from previous games, and not one of the puzzles was even "puzzling." Add to that the simplistic, clichéd laughter of the clichéd madman (that I quickly found to be more laughable and irritating than spooky), and I had more than enough by the end of the Trial Game. I am not into Torture Porn, in any case. We all have different tastes.
I really wanted to like the game, because I have liked a few others in this series, but it seemed not as good as some of the others. Too bad, because there is a 60% off sale this weekend. Even with that, I did not go for this game.

I just played the standard version. Does the CE pick up where it left off? The standard ending is rather abrupt.
Currently Playing: Adventure Game: Broken Age Darkside: Star Wars: The Old Republic
