I've never even looked a the other Metro games. Maybe I should have a gander.

EDIT: Turns out I have Metro 2033 in my library. Possible install soon to get a feel for the series.

They play like your typical post-apocalyptic first-person shooter (I find that statement funny ) Anyway, the one complaint I've heard/read is the checkpoint save system. That was my issue with the first one, because they aren't a walk in the park. Resources (i.e. ammo) are hard to come by and you end up going to melee a lot. It's been a long time since I played the first one, will probably play Last Light before this one. I'm bummed about the huge cost for the collector's version. It's got a great statue and I'm a sucker for all the chachkies that come with special editions. The one for PC is around $150 with $45 shipping! Guess I'll be getting the regular digital version It's the driving stories that set these apart from other FPS games. I might be through Darksiders 3 by the time this comes out, then I can watch my character die in all new ways!

I never got into Darksiders, but I only tried the first one, and only for a couple of hours. I dislike save checkpoints too. But since I already have not one, but TWO Metro Redux games, I might as well try them at some point.
