It sounds really good, but I always wait for the SE.

Hi, Marian!
I picked this one up this morning along with "Wanderlust: The City of Mists" in BFG's BOGO sale and, so far, am really enjoying it. Some of the puzzles and HO scenes are quite unique but not difficult. I never use the Hint button unless absolutely necessary and it's right beside the Map, so I have to be very careful I don't click on the wrong one.

I enjoyed Cursed Wealth, although it was in no way a challenge, I did get involved in it, and it was complex enough to be interesting. So, I bought the next game in the series, Golden Silence. What a difference! GS is not compelling at all. Everything is laid out for you, and all you have to do is follow the arrows. The mini-games are ridiculously easy, so much so that they don't constitute "puzzles" at all, and I subsequently have lost interest in the game. There is nothing about the characters to draw you in or make you care what happens to them. There is no real compelling reason to pursue the solution. About all I can say about this game is that they didn't throw pop-ups in your face.
If all you want is a hand-holding, an easy sort of romp, go ahead and buy Golden Silence. As for me, it may have been enough to make me abandon this series.

That is good to know, Marian, thanks. I only know the "order" of the games by when they appear for me when I open Big Fish. I never look at issue dates. If this is an older game, that is reassuring.
I did buy and play Enfant Terrible. It wasn't bad or good; somewhere in the middle. It lasted a good while and half the puzzles were decent fun, so I was satisfied, even though it was pretty heavy on HO scenes, for my taste. Into Beyond and Ever-Burning Candle were disappointing, and I even bailed out on the demo for the latter. Most of the games in this series feel like they are targeted at young adults. They are very easy and sometimes cartoonish.
