Oh, wow... just wow! I didn't even know a Bloodlines 2 was being made! I'm so excited - preordered right away!

I didn't either! However, I edited my previously posted info as the game is scheduled to be released on March 31, 2020! Unfortunately it's still one year away. slapforehead

When I saw the announcement this morning, all I saw was the March 31st and not the year! Oh well, at least there's something to look forward to. lol

I did too... but then as my excitement died down, I noticed the year! I pre-ordered anyway!

Exciting, yes, but I will need another year to be able to save enough pennies. It's expensive !! eek

I just saw that, too. I hope it's as good as the first one, which I loved.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Looks like Bloodlines 2 is getting the AAA graphics treatment from Nvidia.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Announced; Will Feature NVIDIA RTX Technology

So, if you've got the equipment to handle ramping the levels up to ultra, looks like you'll be in for some eye candy as a bonus to what's hoped to be another stellar RPG in the series. thumbsup

Also, birthday Marian. grin

Where's Grandma? Oh, she's in the den with Timmy building a quantum stabilizer, things might get a little weird around here until they're done. Coffee? lol

I suspect this is the year my trusty Alienware laptop starts to show its age. At 6, it's a veritable greybeard among laptops. Still runs pretty much everything, but this new Bloodlines might just be too much for it.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I'm wanting to play the new Metro Exodus game and my trusty 660Ti will finally be too long in the tooth. It looks like this new Bloodlines game will also require an upgrade. As it happens, I did a build with my grandson in Denver last week and we had a dead GTX 1070 Ti video card. PNY said to send it back and if it was dead for them too, they would send a new one. So I will be getting a new video card a little sooner that I had in mind.

I flew home on Wednesday with the dead card and immediately ordered a new ASUS 1070 Turbo video card and had it sent out to him in Denver as this build was something he's been looking forward to for years. I was a nervous wreck as he is only 14 and had zero experience in building a computer other than what he learned with me in a couple of days when I flew out there to do this build! He was going to have to install this new $400 video card himself! He had picked up on things very quickly and had the basics of how you need power and data cables and how all the power has to come from the power supply and how components are mounted to specific slots on the motherboard. So he had to connect a power cable to the power supply that was compatible with the 8-pin connector on the video card and mount the new card on the motherboard. I had laid the correct cable out for him, but it wasn't an easy thing to do since everything else was already connected and there is virtually no room to work any more. I told him to feel free to unscrew the power supply from the case and lift it out a ways to be able to get to it.

So this was all happening Friday after 5:00 his time. We went to town to get something to eat and had stopped by the American Legion for a beer. I hadn't slept the night before and couldn't even eat much because I was so nervous about all this! I was just sick that I had to leave him without his powerful gaming computer! My cell rang about 6:20 his time and it was Frank. Praise all that is holy, he got it installed and Windows 10 recognized it! I nearly dropped to my knees, I was so relieved! But he still had a problem. He had downloaded the 50 GB game, Metro Exodus, and after the movie intro, it wouldn't do anything - blank screen. I asked if he had installed the video card drivers from the disc that came with it and he said no. So I told him to install those drivers and call me back. So, I'm back on pins and needles! About 15 minutes later, he called back and told me his Metro game was up and running! This time I nearly wept I was so relieved! I will never forget these four words... "Grandma, I'm SO happy!" We talked a while and I told him how proud I was of him for being able to do this on his own and how it's when there are problems that you learn a lot. I had my son stand by just in case, but he told me had absolutely no idea what Frank was doing! I had gone into the women's bathroom so I could hear him and hubby said I looked like the weight of the world had been lifted from my shoulders when I came back into the bar!

So I am one happy - and relieved - Grandma. Plus I get a new GTX 1070 Ti video card, so it all worked out. Whew!

Not to cross threads, but if anyone is interested in the "Metro" game to which Drac is referring, here's the earlier announcement thread with some general info and links: Metro Exodus: Confirmed Release 02/15 and 10 Minutes of Game Play

I dearly loved the first two Metro games... especially Metro Last Light. Exodus is a beast with a 50 GB download and really high system requirements.

Yeah, I played the first one and found it pretty challenging. Haven't yet played Last Light, but it's on my list. I want to play that before moving on to Metro Exodus.
