I am trying to get below the harvester by the old memory chamber but cannot seem to get the water low enough. I have diverted the water per a walkthrough and there is no water where there used to be by the pumps just off the walkway to enter the harvester. I have closed the harvester and dunked it several times to push some water out so I can get to the ladder to the right of the platform but nothing seems to be working. I have not solved the memory puzzle, could that be the problem?

I am playing this from Steam. How do I use a saved game?

I just figured out how to use the saved game Lion_1251 pointed me to. The memory puzzle is now solved thanks to that saved game. Yes this version of the saved game works on the new 25th anniversary game.

However having this puzzle solved does not get me any closer to that ladder in the water. Still stuck.

Since you imported the saved game, you may have to drain the water again using two irrigation machines. Have you encountered Sirrus outside the old memory chamber? If so, then you need to use the harvester. Close the door and lower it to force some water out of the basin. You should be able to go down the stairs to a control room and turn a valve to lower the water even further. Go back to the harvester controls and lower it again with the door closed, then open the door to let water in, close the door, and raise the harvester. You should now be able to reach the secret door.
