Today's game for Club Members, tomorrow's game for all.

You can download My Brother Rabbit Collector's Edition here.

Quote
My Brother Rabbit is a beautifully drawn adventure set in a surreal world that mixes reality with a child’s imagination. A young girl faces a terrible reality when she falls ill. The little girl and her brother use the power of imagination to escape the hostile outside world. Together they envision a fantastic universe that provides the play and comfort they need.

In this magnificent land of make-believe, a little rabbit wants to nurse his ill friend, the flower, back to health in any way he can. On this journey, the rabbit must use his wits to decipher puzzles inspired by classic point-and-clicks to continue his adventure.

Enjoy a new twist on the classic hidden object genre and help the rabbit play minigames, find hidden objects, and assemble strange machinery in a world where conventional logic doesn’t apply. Join this colorful quest through five wondrous lands filled with giant mushrooms, melting clocks, and more unbelievable things that will make you question everything you think you know about reality.

My Brother Rabbit is not a typical hidden object game. Nor is it a game for kids. While it may be played with children, we strongly feel the game’s message is for people of all ages.

An emotional story of love and courage
Tons of environmental puzzles, minigames and hidden objects
Fantastic graphics mixing real, surreal and abstract
Full soundtrack by renowned composer
Digital artbook

As always, please remember to come back and tell us what you think.

Happy gaming! spring

This game could also have been characterized as adventure-lite and/or a puzzle game. It doesn't easily fit into any one specific category. wave

Hi, Marian!

This game reminds me of "The Tiny Bang Story" , so anyone who enjoyed that would probably enjoy this one. It doesn't seem to have a Strategy Guide, though, so I don't know what would qualify it to be a CE., unless there's a bonus chapter.

I'm playing the demo right now and, since there's another game I've been waiting to buy, I'll probably pick it in BFG's BOGO sale.

Hi Susan,

I read this on another website and will copy and paste it for you here - this will help explain why it's being called a CE. There is a difference between the Big Fish version and the Steam version of the game, which is as follows:

Quote
but the other point is that on Steam, what is included on BFG will cost you an extra $9.00 (art and soundtrack)taking their price to nearly $30.00 without the replay HO's or hint or skip function. So this is the copy to get!

So apparently the Steam version is charging extra money for the art and soundtrack, and the Big Fish version includes the art and soundtrack as well as a hint/skip function. And apparently there is no replay of HO's in the Steam version either. I think a lot of people, myself included, would definitely want to play the version that includes a hint/skip function. For these reasons, the Big Fish version was given Collector's Edition status.

It is a lovely game that is quite different from the norm and I plan on picking it up. smile

Thanks for all that info Marian.

Susie07 - I enjoyed The Tiny Bang Story, so if this is like that, I know I'll like it.

Hi, Marian!

Wow,! $30? And we'll be picking it up for $6.99 lol ! Ya gotta love BFG! Did you play "The Tiny Bang Story"? It didn't grab me at first but, once I got the hang of it, I was hooked. I feel the same way about this game. I do miss the Strategy Guide, though, because sometimes the Hint button isn't that helpful and right now I'm stuck.

Hi, oldbroad!

It is like "The Tiny Bang Story" where you search for "x" number of each item in various locations to solve puzzles and progress in the game. I think I enjoyed "The Tiny Bang Story" so much because it was nothing like the HO games I was used to playing, so this one is another nice change. When my free trial is up, I plan to buy it along with "Mystery Tales: Dealers' Choices" in BFG's BOGO sale. The reviews on that one aren't great, but I played the demo and enjoyed it.

I have heard good things about The Tiny Bang Story but haven't played it - I should pick it up with a coupon code one of these days.

There are walkthroughs online for the game, fortunately.

Apparently the skip button can be used on the mini-games. Not sure exactly when and where the hint button is useful, though.

A Big Fish sale price beats all, but I don't see where it says it is anywhere near $30 on Steam. I see $19 for the edition that includes the sound track and art.

That sounds right, oldbroad. Maybe the prices have changed over time, or maybe the poster miscalculated. Either way, I am glad I am getting the game from Big Fish. smile

Hi, Marian!

I picked "The Tiny Bang Story" up with a coupon in May of 2011, but I have no idea when it was actually released. I wonder if both games are by the same developer because the game play is practically identical. They are a nice change of pace and, as Laurette mentioned, highly addictive lol ! The graphics are gorgeous.

Help! I'm at the part where it appears you are to somehow get the crab into the green shell. I'm assuming you have to get the fishing pole to swing fast enough to do this. I just can't do. Is there a specific trick to this? Thanks for any help!

I don't know, Laurette, as I haven't played the game. Have you tried looking at a walkthrough or a video on YouTube?

Hi, Laurette!

You're ahead of me, but if you Google the game, there are a couple of YouTube walkthroughs you might find useful. I couldn't figure out how to solve one puzzle or find any clues, and the walkthrough helped me. You can FF to the point where you're stuck so you won't have to watch the entire video.

Steam has a walkthrough, if needed.
