Has anyone had experience cleaning up after a forest fire? We spent $1000 last summer having our cedar decking cleaned and re-stained, and then came all the widlfires that left behind a layer of ash on everything. Then the rains came and made a muck of it all. There is ash residue all over our deck, although I have scrubbed it. We tracked some of the ash indoors, too, onto the tiled floor of our kitchen. Likewise, I have scrubbed that with a variety of cleaners and still the ashy stain is there. I'm so discouraged.

I'd love some input on how to get out from under this! A link to a site that maybe discusses this sort of cleanup?

I am a huge fan of Wet and Forget Outdoor (and Indoor). If all else fails, I'd give it a shot!

Wood ash is difficult to clean. I keep seeing baking powder recommended, so that might be worth a shot. I also found this.
