In case anyone is interested Dungeons and Dragons has released Heroes of Baldur's Gate: Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Adventure Book with the original characters from the first series.

Here's the intro video: Heroes of Baldur's Gate

I've also heard that the production companies Beamdog and Skybound have teamed up to bring several of the classic RPG's including the original Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights to consoles, possibly by the end of this year.

With the renewed interest in classic style RPG's and this current release of a new 5th Edition D&D book, we could very well be seeing the makings for another video game set in the Forgotten Realms. I haven't personally played anything in this particular (5th) edition. If it's anything like 4e, which had influences from the online MMO, it may translate well to the video medium. Well, here's hoping.

Thanks for that information, TM. Interesting to hear that Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and NWN are going to end up on consoles.
