All of a sudden Firefox is saying it doesn't support my Norton, WOT, or uBlock??? They all say the same thing. "Could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled".

Anybody else having a problem?

There is an article about it here.

I have Firefox and I am just going to wait for an update.

There's a fix at the bottom of this thread, which seems to be from late 2015
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1078339

I don't know if the fix works in current versions of Firefox that are based on Quantum.
It might if you have an older version or ESR version of Firefox.

Other suggestions in that thread include turning your computer's clock back.

I'm not going to attempt any of the suggestions. I will wait and hope this is fixed soon or change my browser to Opera or something else.

Thanks Jenny100!

Apparently Mozilla is working on a fix, so I doubt we will have to wait too long.

I read this article this morning. They are saying this is being caused by a certification expiration. Currently the fix will probably involve making sure you have a setting enabled until they get a permanent fix. More is explained here. It appears patience is your best bet.

Thanks Draclvr. I'm currently using Opera even though I don't like this browser much either. I got used to Firefox so I guess I can get used to this one if I have to. At least it has an ad-blocker. Firefox was useless to me without that ad-blocker you suggested. Those ads are what was causing my memory usage to rise and my computer to slow to a crawl or stop. I have not made Opera my default though so some things are still going through Firefox and my Norton Safe Search (or Norton whatever) isn't on. I did download WOT though.

I know what you mean, oldbroad! I'm using Edge and while it's taken awhile, I am getting used to it. In fact, I haven't even installed Firefox on my new solid state drive to force myself to use it. I do like it much better now.

This was the last straw for me with Firefox which I have been using for a long time, but with Jenny100 suggestion awhile back to try Pale Moon which is a younger sister (or brother depending on your preference) to Firefox, in fact it is Sooo close to Firefox that if wasn't for the Pale Moon logo, you would think you are using Firefox and Ublock works with PM, and when FF knocked my Kaspersky security feature and just as important it knocked off my Zoom Page which I need, well goodbye FF. I uninstalled it and now using Pale Moon as my default browser, it is secure and has regular updates.

Also, my wife and I found lately that FF was very slow, so my wife is now using Edge and with her smaller laptop, Edge works really fast, note: Edge is with Windows 10.
I find Pale Moon working faster than FF on my updated Windows 10 from 8 machine.
Also what I was frustrated with FF was that there a few sites (legit sites) that would take forever to load and FF fox stating that a fix was on the way, this was almost 1 year ago.

Thanks for the input Starcom. I just took a look at the Pale Moon download site but am passing on it at this time. Something to keep in mind though if Firefox doesn't get fixed and I decide I really don't like Opera at all.

Looks like this is fixed now but I had to add WOT again.
