Are you sure you have the right game name in the thread title?
When I do a search for the word "crown" in the Dracula: Last Sanctuary walkthrough here
http://www.gameboomers.com/wtcheats/pcDd/drac2.html
I do not get any hits for "crown."

When I do a search for the word "crown" in the Dracula: Resurrection walkthrough here
http://www.gameboomers.com/wtcheats/pcDd/Dracula.html
there is a hit
Quote
Go up to the loft and you will see a *** large black crown *** supported by a heavy rope and a tripod. Use the telescope on the tripod. Look through the telescope and you will see another henchman warming his hands near the bridge. Use the flute on the henchman. He is runs over to the Inn and stands right below *** that big black crown ***. Use your knife on the rope and the *** crown *** will knock him out. Go back to the bedroom and Barina will come up and talk with you...

If that's not where you're at, and you're really playing Dracula: Last Sanctuary and not Dracula: Resurrection, check UHS Hints.

What you're describing reminds me more of Dracula Resurrection rather than the Last Sanctuary. Are you looking through the telescope in the inn's attoc and watching the man warming his hands at the broken bridge?

I see Jenny100 caught that, too. smile

By the way, I have solutions guides for both games.

The "crown" is part of the apparatus which you will need to use later to bonk someone in the head. Just follow the walkthrough and you'll be fine! I just finished the game on my Windows 10 and used the walkthrough several times.

And then play Dracula The Last Sanctuary right after this one. The two together make one of the best games made back in the day!

The S hook will turn the tracks with no input from you except for to place it there. The cart is back in the other room, I think. Just do what the walkthrough says and you will be on your merry way and in for a great ride!

After your ride, go forward out of the cart and look up at the pulley. Take the S shaped hook. Go back down to the cart room by turning left at the table again. Go forward to the cart that is off the track. You will see a lever next to it. Use the S shaped hook on that mechanism and then pull the lever to move the tracks. Go back to the cart that you were just in. Pull that lever to make it go again and enjoy another ride!

Try watching this video from about 14 minutes 30 seconds on. This should help you get oriented.

I can see where this would be confusing - it's kind of hard to find your way around in the dark.

As I told you, the cart is in the other room. You need to go pull the lever there and go for another long ride.

It's on the floor on the left side of the tracks if you're looking towards the pit.

No, as I said,
Quote

There are no lower tracks... There is only one set of tracks leading across the pit. Have you gone into the room and pulled the lever to raise the tracks going across the pit?

You are going to have to find the lamp/lantern. I haven't played the game so can only refer you to the walkthrough. I would suggest looking around some more for the lantern.

I don't know what to tell you, but you have to find the lantern as Marian says! Now that you have the tracks raised and the bats are after you, go back to where the door is. Turn around and face the pit. Start looking on the floor next to the tracks on the left, going forward a step at a time and searching again. It is hard to see, but you should get the action cursor when you find it.

No, it is where I said it was... on the floor alongside the tracks on the left side as you look towards the pit.

Yes, I'm afraid you'll have to go back to another saved game. I've don't that before myself! There are slots for several saves and they all will have a date and time on them, so get the most recent one.

But hopefully, now that you know where it is, you can find it quicker. I think we've all done this at some point in our gaming lives!

Apparently Dracula: The Last Sanctuary is a lot of fun too. You will probably enjoy that as well.

Dracula The Last Sanctuary picks up right where you left off in Resurrection. You will visit many of the same places and of course speak with the lovey Dorko again!
