This puzzle was inspired by the recent cryptic clue in the CDM thread with the answer "Caesar Cipher" and a crossword puzzle that I did yesterday that replaced numbers in the answers with roman numerals. It had to be fate.
So here, Caesar is going to the odeum to see some modern day movies and each of the numbers in the titles are replaced with the appropriate roman numerals. I've given a description of the movie, when it came out, one of the stars and the letter length of the entire title with the roman number count included.
Example: A doctor treats a woman suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder. 1957 Joanne Woodward (16) The III Faces of Eve
Hopefully, I've counted all of these right!
--1. A bookish CIA researcher finds all his co-workers dead, and must outwit those responsible until he figures out who he can really trust. 1975 Robert Redford (18) --2. A criminal pleads insanity after getting into trouble again and once in the mental institution rebels against the oppressive nurse and rallies up the scared patients. 1975 Jack Nicholson (23) --3. A jury holdout attempts to prevent a miscarriage of justice by forcing his colleagues to reconsider the evidence. 1957 Henry Fonda (11) --7. A thief with a group of accomplices plan to rob three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously. 2001 George Clooney (8) --8. A man named Billy Pilgrim tells the story of how he became unstuck in time and was abducted by aliens. 1972 Michael Sacks (15) --9. A rag doll that awakens in a postapocalyptic future holds the key to humanity's salvation. 2009 Animated Elijah Wood - voice (2) --10. A retired master car thief must come back to the industry and steal fifty cars with his crew in one night to save his brother's life. 2000 Nicolas Cage (15) --11. Aliens and their Guardians are hiding on Earth from intergalactic bounty hunters. They can only be killed in numerical order, he is next on the list. This is his story. 2011 Alex Pettyfer (11) --12. An airline security expert must take action when he finds himself trapped on a passenger jet when terrorists seize control of it. 1992 Wesley Snipes (13) --13. An evil high-fashion designer plots to steal puppies in order to make an extravagant fur coat, but instead creates an extravagant mess. 1996 Glenn Close (12) --14. Bachelors find themselves forced to take care of a baby left by one of the guys' girlfriends. 1987 Tom Selleck (14) --15. During the summer of 1979, a group of friends witness a train crash and investigate subsequent unexplained events in their small town. 2011 Kyle Chandler (9) --16. To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self. I wonder what's on television...?

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.
