Study Finds Liking Cats is a Sign of Very High Intelligence - okay, yes I'm introverted, unlike my younger brother, but he's more the non-conformist. as well as the more outgoing one. He's had both but only has cat right now. He's also had a rabbit and chickens. Our sister has two dogs and two cats (three if you count the kitten she's planning to bring me over Thanksgiving). I've always had a cat. Never owned a dog, I dont dislike them, in fact I like other people's dogs more than some people's children. Because the dogs are disciplined.

I could have told you that Guybrush! grin

So, you're getting a new kitty? Is it a boy or girl? I used to be partial to boy kitties but now I have some girls and they are quite lovable too! Although, my boy is more cuddly.

Cat owner here (or rather I should say, "cat guardian here," as nobody *owns* a cat!). blackkitty grin

Good to hear you are going to be getting another kitty.

Cannot be sure if I'm getting a kitten tomorrow night or not. Right now its looking like not. The weather may keep my sisters family at home. She's sent me a video and another photo of the cat. And told me "Your cat climbed the curtains and caused general mayhem to keep Katherine up all night". Katherin is my foster niece and the cat was staying in her room because of the two dogs and other two cats in the home.

Aw. I was wondering if you were getting excited. Anticipation is good though, and better for your family to be safe!

I've always had indoor cats and all were adopted. Most of them just showed up in my yard or on my deck! They were all boys except for the last one. My hubby found her lying in the yard dehydrated and near death. We rushed her to the vet and the vet said she was near death but she did survive. We named her Sweet Potato an gave her a happy home for several years until cancer took her from us. We've not been ready to adopt another kitty yet. Still miss our little Sweet potato.

They decided they could make it after all. Still a couple hours away. Apparently the kitten has slept all the way so far. So when it gets here around midnight it will be wide awak. I'm already noding off. :lol

She's curled up in front of the monitor but is too tiny to be in the way. We're trying to train each other. I'm trying to her to get her to recognize her name, Neko. And ehe's trying to get me to figure out which meow means"feed me". (lol) Her meows are soft but rough. She purrs a lot.

I liked what a man once said about his cat. He said he had heard that training was difficult, but that didn't turn out to be the case at all. In fact, the cat had him trained within a few days. grin
