I don't know if anybody can assist with this. Draclvr, I know you use Steam so maybe you have an idea what I'm asking about. Since Steam updated their website, the library has a different look. Where it shows the quantity of my games XXX/XXX, there is a difference of 91 games which, when you hover over it, says 91 games not listed due to your view filter. I don't have any view filter that I can find. The larger quantity of games shown would not match the quantity I believe I have but I have to wonder what filter (where else I can look), what games, and WHO put those games and filter there (or what does this actually mean)??

I have "ALL" games listed. The quantity on the left is closer to what I believe I have. It is less but I believe that is due to some of the bundles.

I haven't been there since they updated the website. Let me go look.

OK. I'm not seeing this. But try clicking on View in the menu up at the top left and see if there is a setting there. One I see is "hidden games."

I checked all over before I posted. There are no hidden games. Just says to drag something in there. I checked all of my settings for something that might have to do with this. Nothing!

Does yours just show one number, the quantity of your games, as opposed to the number of your games, slash, some other number?

Are you at the website or in the Steam App? When I open the Steam App and select Library, all my games are listed on the left and in the main part of the screen are large icons for each game.

In the app. Right above where your list of games starts.

Mine shows as number/number. When I hover over the numbers, it says x number not listed due to my view filter.

Found this information on Steam in a discussion forum:

Quote
Over the message "not listed due to your view filter", there is a word "GAMES".
Click on the word "GAMES", and you will see the options "GAMES" and "TOOLS".
By default, the option "GAMES" is checked and the option "TOOLS" is unchecked.
The option unchecked is hidden.

See if this makes any sense to you.

And is there a number of games listed as not showing? Do you have any view filters? I am just curious what this is.

Okay, thanks Marian! I see that. They are 91 "tools". I don't understand what the "tools" are but I do see they are not games!

Ah, I see it now. It is listed next to "all," but is nearly grayed out, so I didn't see it at first. When I click on games, like Marian said, there 96 (for me) tools. When I click on that, I get a bunch of dedicated servers and other odd things!

Yes! So, what are those dedicated servers and other odd things anyway?

Thanks to both of you for looking at this for me!!

I believe that dedicated servers are for people who are hosting games and playing online multiplayer games.

Thanks. I'm not looking for more info, but I don't see how that relates to me or my games. Just saying! They're not hurting me or in my way though, and that's all that matters. smile

There's this page also. (Be sure to scroll down the page - there's a list of all the changes/updates). I guess they really kind of overhauled it. smile

Yeah. I'm not good with change. I liked it better the way it was. Same with Big Fish and GOG.

I felt the same way about GOG and Big Fish. I'm used to it now, though. It took a while.
