If you're talking about Largo Winch: Empire Under Threat

It ran OK on a computer with:
Windows 98 SE
Pentium III 750 MHz
Geforce 2 Ti with 64 mb video RAM
512 MB system RAM
Hercules Fortissimo II sound card

It should work on XP provided the video card meets the requirement.
It should also work on Windows 98 and Windows 2000 provided the video card meets the requirement.

It needs a video card that is capable of hardware T&L (transform & lighting) which in general means a Geforce 2 or later. If you have a Windows 98 computer, make sure the video card meets that requirement.

You can find requirements on ***this picture of the back of the case at Mobygames***

I moved your post over to Glitches, since this is a question of a technical nature.

Windows XP (and Windows 2000) should be more stable than Windows 98.
But if you do get a crash, don't let it put you off the game unless the crash keeps repeating in the same place every time you load a save and try again, and you can't get past it.
