We don’t need to see the recipe. oldbroad answered your question. You can find these ingredients where the spices are in the grocery store. They are dried pieces or powders like pepper and usually come in a glass jar. They may not be called granulated, but maybe flakes or powdered.

There is a difference between granulated, powdered and flakes, You can substitute them but you need to adjust quantities. You can use real garlic too. Here are some adjustments I found online:

Substitutes: granulated garlic (provides flavor, but not texture) OR. garlic flakes (Substitute 1/2 teaspoon garlic flakes for every clove of garlic) OR. garlic powder (Substitute 1/8 teaspoon powder for every clove of garlic called for in recipe.)
