Jack strode into ‘John’s Stable’ looking to buy a horse. “Listen here” said John, “I’ve got just the horse your looking for, the only thing is, he was trained by an interesting fellow. He doesn’t go and stop the usual way. The way to get him to stop is to scream heyhey the way to get him to go is to scream Thank God.
Jim nodded his head, “fine with me, can I take him for a test run?” Jim was having the time of his life this horse sure could run he thought to himself. Jim was speeding down the dirt road when he suddenly saw a cliff up ahead “stop!” screamed Jim, but the horse kept on going.

No matter how much he tried he could not remember the words to get it to stop. “yoyo” screamed Jim but the horse just kept on speeding ahead. It was 5 feet from the cliff when Jim suddenly remembered “heyhey!” Jim screamed. The horse skidded to a halt just 1 inch from the cliff.

Jim could not believe his good fortune, he looked up to the sky, raised his hands in the air, breathed a deep sigh of relief and said with conviction “Thank God.”

A religious women upon waking up each morning would open her front door stand on the porch and scream, “Praise the Lord.” This infuriated her atheist neighbor who would always make sure to counter back, “there is no Lord.” One morning the atheist neighbor overheard his neighbor praying for food, thinking it would be funny, he went and bought her all sorts of groceries and left them on her porch. The next morning the lady screamed, “praise the Lord, who gave me this food.” The neighbor laughing so hard he could barely get the words out screamed “it wasn’t the Lord, it was me.” The lady without missing a beat screamed “praise the Lord for not only giving me food but making the atheist pay for it!!“

I was coming back from visiting my son in my Miami and I stopped at a rest stop to use the bathroom. I just sat down on the toilet when I heard a voice coming from the stall next to mine, “Hey! How’s it going?” Although I was quite surprised, and I wasn’t in the habit of conversing to the people next to me in the stall, I nevertheless answered him, “I’m fine” I said “thanks for asking.”
“What are you doing?” Asked the same voice. To be honest I was a bit taken aback by the brazenness of this fellow, but I would never ignore anyone so I calmly answered, “I’m releaving myself.”
Then I heard the same voice again, “I’m going to have to call you back, some idiot in the next stall is answering all of my questions.”

An Amish girl and her mother were visiting a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and back together again. The girl asked, “Mother, what is this?”
The mother, never having seen an elevator, responded, “I have never seen anything like this in my life. I don’t know what it is.” While the girl and her mother watched with amazement, an old man in a wheelchair rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the man rolled between them into a small room.
The walls closed and the girl and her mother watched the small numbers above the walls light up sequentially. They continued to watch until the last number was reached, and they watched some more as the numbers began to light in reverse order.
The walls opened up again and a hunky young man stepped out.
The mother, not taking her eyes off the young man, said quietly to her daughter, “Go get your father.”

So these two roaches, Tom and Oscar, are hanging out next to a dumpster enjoying a snack. “Hey Tom” said Oscar to his friend, “You know that restaurant down the block? Marvin, was in the hospital on his death bed. The family called Marvin’s Preacher to be with him in his final moments. As the Preacher stood by the bed, Marvin’s condition seemed to deteriorate, and Marvin motioned for someone to quickly pass him a pen and paper. The Preacher quickly got a pen and paper and lovingly handed it to Marvin. But before he had a chance to read the note, Marvin died. The Preacher feeling that now wasn’t the right time to read it put the note in his jacket pocket. It was at the funeral while speaking that the Preacher suddenly remembered the note. Reaching deep into his pocket the Preacher said “and you know what, I suddenly remembered that right before Marvin died he handed me a note, and knowing Marvin I’m sure it was something inspiring that we can all gain from. With that introduction the Preacher ripped out the note and opened it.

The note said “HEY, YOU ARE STANDING ON MY OXYGEN TUBE!”

We were sunny and 79 or 80 degrees today.

Unfortunately we'll be back down in the 40s in a couple of days, but just for a couple of days I think.

Crazy week on tap this week. I managed to get out and go kayaking yesterday with a friend which made me happy! Have a happy day all!

thank you joe. last nights game was something else. we get behind but mahomes is good for coming back like that. i had a hard time getting to the game during the 1st half but never failed to keep my chin up . i told hubby win or lose they came a long way and there is a lot of people out there that has said they couldn't do it.

How are you guys all doing today?

I thought I was going to get to watch it snow a little bit today, but we haven't gotten anything since I got up. I was awakened to the sound of rain in the middle of the night, for the last two nights, and we only got up to 36 degrees today. They've had snow North of us. Tonight we are dropping to 27 degrees, but it is supposed to start clearing off. Maybe before it does it'll drop some snow here.

I have Beau here, and we all went to the park today and it was so cold.

Ana I don't know how you do it. We were a balmy 36 degrees probably compared to you. I had gloves and headphones on, and my hands and ears were still freezing.

Tomorrow I'll be taking Beau back home, and then back home to stare at Missy and Pepper..........and them at me.

Gerry it's good seeing you again. I hope you're much better.

Fantastic Friday ya'll

Winter has found us. I heard rumors of snow flurries this morning. Of course, it didn't stick (which is a good thing), but I did have to turn the heat on long enough to cut the chill this morning. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

sitting here waiting to hear back from the weatherization bunch, that will be getting us a new heater . we had a inspection on tuesday but we had a leak under the house that got us red flagged , so had to have a plumber out to fix it . also have some old lathes and such under the house at the crawl space that hubby put there years ago that needs to be all taken out, guess the will add some insulation under the house too besides adding more in the attic. will be glad to stop using these space heaters. need to go get my shower taken for the day since hubby is back in the house . hope everyone has a good day

Enjoyed a brilliant Queen tribute concert last night with youngest son, he'd bought me the tickets for Christmas! The singer was excellent, close your eyes and it was Freddie up on that stage! I've been a lifelong Queen fan hence my username.

Wow, it's very stormy here today with galeforce winds and heavy rain. Definitely a day to stay in the house! Tomorrow, much of the same followed by heavy snow on Monday through Tuesday.....nasty!
