my mentally challenged niece hung up on me when i said hello, am i wronge to hung up on her and be mad, or get over it. it hurts my feeling.

Personally, if she's mentally challenged, I would ignore it. Maybe she was just having a bad day or maybe she just dialed your number by mistake. There are much better things to do than be mad at her. Play a game or go cook something yummy to make yourself feel better!

I have hung up on people by mistake, dropped the phone etc..

Perhaps there was a reason she hung up, illness or what ever, I would have rung back right away to check she was alright.
