Just like anywhere in the world, there are scammers everywhere. Always, always, always read the reviews of the particular seller!

I shop a lot with Amazon and have had very few complaints. I recently received a product that was defective and contacted the seller. They refunded my payment without my having to return the item. As Ana said, read the reviews. If your question is whether Amazon purposely and regularly cheats people, the answer is no. Some products may not live up to the sellers’ claims, but that happens everywhere.

In my experience, Amazon is very good about backing up their customers. Twice now, I had a TV delivered with a cracked screen. Both times I just notified Amazon, they sent me a label to print out, I put the broken TV back in the box and the next day USP picked it up. In addition, Amazon sent the replacement before they even picked up the broken one and I had the replacement the next day.

I'm not sure what you mean by "cheat" either? Did a seller not allow you to return something? Or did you pay for something you didn't get?

It sounds like there are different versions of the game floating around, which really isn't all that unusual. Things get re-released sometimes, publishers change, etc., and you can end up with different versions.

The CD version released in 2009 is described as playable on Windows Vista and Windows XP. Are you asking about the CD version? If so, could be a matter of the operating system. Again, just because you’re having problems withthe game doesn’t mean someone tried to cheat you.

Why would think of calling this cheating? You have a game that works and since it is such an old game, there are several versions around. If you don't like the game or it's too hard, don't play it! No one is cheating anyone.
