Hey everybody. wave

Been having a little bit of a trying week here also. I let myself be a victim of on-line fraud, that could cost me dearly. I think I'll be ok because I paid with American Express. They've suspended the charge to investigate it. yes

Still, it's very frustrating. Another lesson on 'buyer be very wary' especially on line. hardwall

I do a lot of shopping on line. I'll be fine though, it's just a big downer, and a dark cloud for my week. shocked

On the bright side, Beau came out today for a few days visit. I think I may drive out to the sod farm in the morning and check it out. The last time I went out there they were cutting grass very close to where the arrowheads are, and we've had a ton of rain. Got my fingers crossed. happydance

I did do a lot of work in the yard and in my shop this week, and today I received a bench and planter from Amazon. It looks awesome out on the deck. yay

I hope everyone is having a great week.....

and WELCOME TO THE WEEKEND!!!. hamster

Have a great day Ana, Family, SpaceQuestFan, Gerry, Connie, L4L & Soot, ManXman, ButterFlyBabe, Trail_Mystic, Mary, TaintedFury, MaG, and everyone. thumbsup

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Our waterbed has sprung a leak scared
The good news is ... it doesn't appear to be a big leak smirk

The bad news is ... the waterbed has sprung a leak eek

GameBoomers Mixed Bag KBMB reporter "Connie" on site spoke with L4L this morning... "Well, the leak seems to be a small one, but we need to patch it!" "Soot wants to just stuff towels under the mattress...I mean really?" shocked

"Stay tuned to KBMB radio for further updates. Back to you Joe!"

... ... ...

12:45 PM ... found the leak wink

2:35 PM ... leak patched ... had to wait until after the SpaceX launch happydance

Joe, I feel for you! Lost some money too, but also had to have computer guy out because the scammers froze my computer. Computer guy used a code to undo the freeze and set the memory back to before it happened. Lesson learned for sure!! About a year later saw a workshop about the exact scam I fell for. It's easy to kick yourself in the shame. But it's also easy to fall for it whistle Recently, when my computer was getting virtually checked and cleaned, I figured out how the scam worked and why I fell for it. Scammers know what to show and say to hook ya.

Enjoying the cool, breezy weather; lots of birds chirping; another heat wave coming our way. Ah, well, it is summer dance

soot, you crack me up! lol So glad you found the leak and was able to patch it. I have yet to watch the launch, we recorded it.

Taintedfury, I'm sorry you hurt your neck/shoulders. I swear by my CBD ointment. I use it everyday before I go to work. I hope you feel better quick!

butterflybabe, it sure was a beautiful day today! Where I went in Michigan was 61 but it was 71 at home. Hope you and your pup were able to enjoy it!

Connie, everything is open by you now, right? Can you go anywhere you want?

An absolutely wonderful day today. Much needed!

Hello again everyone. wave2

Many thanks to everyone for your concern. I'm sure American Express will take care of me on this. It always burns me more to think that I made it easy for someone to rip me off, because this was by no means the first time I've been burned. mad

Ana I'm glad to see you getting a day off for some well deserved R&R. hearts

Ouch TaintedFury neck and shoulder injuries are so painful. I hope you're better soon. I should take that as an omen and just leave my weeds alone. wink

Connie I hope you're having a great weekend. flowers

Soot I'm glad you got your mattress patched. I didn't know you could patch those things........or that anybody still had waterbeds. duh

I just haven't slept in one since the 80s, and I hated it then. blush

Butterflybabe how hot is it getting for you guys? I know St Louis was not quite as hot as it gets down here.

I was out at the sod farm by 8:30 this morning, and back home by 11:30. In between then my pedometer said that I walked 10,450 steps. I'm sure that Missy and Beau walked about 4 times that. They were really tired when we got back.

I finally hit it at the right time. The had just cut the grass in the right area before the rains hit. I found a broken arrowhead and several scrapers, so I was not happy at all with my haul. It's the first time in over a year that I've even been able to hunt out there.

There is a huge area that has just been plowed, but it couldn't be searched. It needs a good rain. yes

I think I'll sleep good tonight. slapforehead

Have a super Sunday everyone.

joe

Hey Ho Sunday morning to you all laugh

No Ana, everything is not open yet ... our theaters nor baseball has restarted yet ... so glad you got your 'much needed day!'

Yes they do ButterFlyBabe ... you've got to be careful in real life and virtually on-line as some folks make their living by living off of others sad

Joe, I'm hoping AMEX will take care of your order and with any luck that Chinese connection too ... it would be nice to have them out of business ... I tried to check out your points on fB but couldn't get there this morning ... technology :smashPC:

Family, good luck on chores!

Good morning TaintedFury ... glad your shoulder and neck are on the mend!

Connie, enjoy your breakfast this morning ... Mmmm, Mmmm, eggs, grits, bacon, biscuits and gravy in the NC ... with coffee from Gerry and I am good to go.

Looking to a quiet day today after yesterday's excitement. Little Soot and I were up before sunrise enjoying the park's critters all getting ready for the day ... so much chirping and scurrying around ... I didn't wake up wet so it looks like my patch held dance Yeah Joe, you don't hear much about waterbeds anymore, give it time and someone will wink

Joe, weather comes and goes around here. Just put my winter coat away; keep a sweater and light jacket available. For a while there, we'd have days when it seemed Mother Nature couldn't make up her mind. Winter coat needed in the morning; by late afternoon, could get by with a light jacket, sweater or no outwear at all. There's a saying here that ' if you don't like the weather or politics, hang around because they change'. Lake Michigan adds to the differences. Could be 70s inland and 50s by the lake. Sometimes snow comes from the lake. shiver

Sue, I open several windows whenever I can to get come fresh air. Huey gets to day care whenever they are open because they can handle his energy better than I. When they are closed I have a young lady who comes late afternoon to take him for a 90 minute walk/run. My back won't keep up with his energy. But he's a sweet thing and makes me laugh. A good day for me is being about to take Huey around the block without any pain. Was able to do that this morning. No decent dog parks near here. Huey hates being in the car or any moving vehicle; tends to whine a lot which gets louder the longer the ride. car

Have great day! lab
