Ah Kmut, my favorite game designer by far ;-) I know I have posted it at least once before, but after Riven,
the Rhem games are my favorite adventure games by far (especially Rhem II and IV). The puzzles are some of the best
I ever encountered in any game. If you look at the puzzles a bit closer, you will realize Knut has deeply analyzed
the way gamers think and how they typically approach a puzzle. And then some puzzles he brilliantly designed in a a way
that these standard puzzle-solving thought processes won't work. The way he sometimes subverted my solving attempts
and manipulated my optical perception of the game environment blew my mind.
Knut and I are in touch every other months or so (only by email) and he always patiently and kindly shares his thoughts with me.
(we are both german, so that makes communication much easier.)
I don't write to him too much, because he is a very busy person and I don't want to bother him too often.
@oldbroad: I hope you like logical thinking, otherwise it is going to be difficult ;-)
