This thread really belongs in casual games, but I thought that as the game is such a good little brain teaser of a logic puzzle it might be of interest to some of you who may not usually be much into computer games: is anyone else in the Garden already addicted to it? catrub

My nephew has strongly recommended the game to me. He said it's hilarious and brain bending. woozy

The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.

He is not wrong: it is the best small game I have seen since Braid and makes me think back in some ways to things like Manic Miner and Donkey Kong (although requiring less speed/dexterity.)

Much lateral thinking required, and look out for double negatives and conflicting rules: probably right up your street!

I am seriously hooked, but it can be played in small doses. devilchili

For me this is most fulfilling game in several years, fully deserving all the awards it has gathered so far, and the creator is nothing short of a genius! devilchili

You may like to look at his website and blog https://www.hempuli.com/

After over six months I have completed 213 levels and there must be at least another 10 (some levels are hidden until earlier ones are completed, and even then it can be part of one level to find another...) - several took more than 24 hrs head-scratching and a couple of times I left it for a week or so: I must admit to using a walkthrough on a handful of occasions (although that rather defeats the point), but more often, like you I would wake up with an idea which worked or at least generated another idea - great fun and very satisfying!

I found one particular walkthrough which provides a useful overview of the game and a series of hints rather than giving the whole show away https://www.keyofw.com/baba-is-hint/overworld.

I love genius creators. Thanks for the comments and the links, Lex. I'll let you know how I'm progressing. I think I'm on level 7. lol

Remember that you do not always have to solve levels strictly in order: there are usually a few available at a time, and sometimes doing a later one gives an idea for the solution of an earlier one! smile

Thanks for the information Lex. I'll be getting on with this shortly. So good to have diversions like these during lockdown. thumbsup wave

OK - I finally gave in and shelled out £11.39 and bought it. (It's OK - we can go without food for a week or so) lol

Strange little game but addictive - took me a few levels to stop thinking "normally" and just use the information in the map. Only downside is that it crashes out on the "Exit the Game" option. frown

Thanks for the heads-up on that - I stopped keeping in touch with current stuff shortly after things like Colossal Cave went out of favour (how sad is that!)

To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self.
I wonder what's on television...?
