Thank you, everyone! And Happy Birthday to you too, Leeana! But I'm still older than you...
So far today, I'm just cleaning up all the canning pots and pressure cookers and utensils. Made 5 more quarts of Tomato sauce yesterday and I think I'm done for the year. Now it's on to working up the garlic harvest!
Once again, weeds are my life!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!
Mostly spent the day, pulling weeds and cleaning up the perennial beds before winter.
Oldbroad, I will clean it all up and keep the really nice big bulbs for cooking and roasting. The rest I will clean the individual cloves, grind it up in my food processor with a little dry white wine and then put in my dehydrator to make granulated garlic. I got two quart jars of it last year! I can toss it into a dish or rehydrate to saute. I also put in my little spice grinder to make into the best garlic powder ever! NOTHING like the stuff in the stores. I did learn something about garlic last year - it can BURN! It took me several hours to clean up and peel all the cloves and when I got done the fingers on my left hand were on fire for about 4 days. Finally, all the skin peeled off the finger pads of three of them!
Once again, weeds are my life!
