So, I posted a teaser for this back during the virtual E3 convention, but missed the extended trailer that was released this April. Wow, just wow. It looks amazing, but along with it comes some heavy requirements.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/tech...ments-revealed/ar-BB1a1VMe?ocid=msedgntp

If you want to sneak passed the age sign-in requirements on YouTube to watch the stellar trailer, go through the main site here: https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/assassins-creed/valhalla

You'll just need to enter your birthdate (or some approximation of it grin ) to get through to the main site.

Well, it just so happens that my new Razer has an RTX 2080 Super Max.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Yeah, I'm pretty tempted. The location settings are amazing and combat looks insane, which is sort of par for the course on AC games. Only been disappointed by a couple of the off-shoot games, but the main releases always seem to be pretty darn good. Can't speak for Odyssey though, I missed that one.

I have several of these but never played them. I should check them out, though. They always look amazing, and I'm not sure why I never got into the franchise since they should be right up my alley. I guess I tend to get really obsessive about certain games to the detriment of others.

The original concept was really cool. The controls can be difficult to master on some of the games due to all the running, jumping, spinning, stabbing and such. lol When I first started playing the first one I couldn't even finish the tutorial without getting frustrated. Took me a bit to get the hang of it, then it was fun and the story compelling.

I remember learning how to play Tomb raider on my keyboard 20 years ago and being able to run towards a cliff edge, jump, do a sideways backflip and shoot a T-Rex on the way down as Lara landed. Not now, though. I'd be lucky just to land the jump.

I have my new controller. Hopefully that will help with games that have complicated controls.

I was able to do that, but only if using a keyboard.
I couldn't do it with a controller.
The controller controls conflicted with each other. If you used the appropriate finger on one button, you couldn't reach any of the other necessary buttons with a different finger.

I've been using the combination of a Logitech G910 Spectrum Keyboard with a G502 mouse for the last couple years and are completely reliant on them now. The keyboard has 9 assignable macro keys with 4 banks, so potential for 36 macros assigned to one game. The macro keys are directly to the left, and in line with the standard keys, or just above the first bank of function keys. The bank-switching keys are just above the escape key, so everything is in relatively easy reach of the usual WASD keys. The DPI on the fly mouse function and their gaming software works relatively well with most big name games, and allows you to custom assign profiles to other, specific games and programs. I even have macro profiles assigned for SQL, Excel and Word, for when I'm doing "real" work (yuck! grin ). You need to either have a pad or phone running their app, linked with your PC or laptop, to make adjustments in-game. I use an older Samsung pad, that's just USB plugged into my PC. As long as you have the app running on the pad and the software running in the background on the PC, they link up pretty flawlessly. Even gives you stats on your GPU, CPU and memory on the fly.

Wow, just read this back - It sounds like an ad lol Honestly, I don't work for Logitech (wouldn't mind their stock though). To be fair, I have read some folks having issue with the software syncing, so I may just be lucky with my configuration.
