“Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.” — ~Maya Angelou~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cute Thanksgiving Instagram Captions Let's give 'em pumpkin to talk about Gourd times Hey there, cutie pie Eat, drink, and cranberry Touchdowns, tailgates, and turkey Keep your eyes on the pies Family, turkey, and football — oh my! And they lived apple-y ever after You'll always be my gravy Let the gourd times roll #Stuffed Hello, pumpkin Fifty shades of gravy Spice, spice, baby Love at first bite In everything, give thanks Pumpkin spice and everything nice Give thanks and pass the mashed potatoes Zero plucks given Happiness is homemade Every day is leg day. Give thanks for a little and you will get a lot Can't nobody tell me stuffin' Eat hard, nap harder Thanksgiving is the best — no ifs, ands, or butter about it Bake the world a better place ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. What did Dad say when he was asked to say grace? “Grace.” 2. What kind of ‘tude is appropriate at the family dinner? Gratitude. 3. Why did Mom’s turkey seasoning taste a little off last year? She ran out of thyme. 4. What’s the official dance of Thanksgiving called? The turkey trot. 5. What did the Pilgrim wear to dinner? A (har)vest. 6. What song should you listen to on Thanksgiving? “All About That Baste.” 7. What’s one thing that you’ll have in common with a teddy bear on Thanksgiving? You’ll both be filled with stuffing. 8. How can you unlock the greatest Thanksgiving experience ever? By making sure to bring the tur-key. 9. With Coronavirus being a possible concern this year, what’s likely to be the most popular side dish? Masked potatoes. 10. What was the turkey suspected of? Fowl play. 1. What’s something usually insulting, but not on Thanksgiving? A family member giving you the bird. 12. How did the salt and pepper welcome all the guests? By saying, “Seasoning’s greetings!” 13. What’s a potato’s favorite game to play? MASH. 14. What makes every Thanksgiving meal extra-basic? Pumpkin spice. 15. Why were the beans accused of being jealous of the other side dishes? They were so green. 16. What’s a running turkey called? Fast food. 17. Who should you invite to your Friendsgiving? Your close group of Palgrims. 18. Why did the turkey bring a microphone to dinner? He was ready for a roast. 19. On Thanksgiving, what does Dad have in common with an exhausted baseball player? They’re both likely to fall asleep between plates. 20. What’s a turkey’s favorite dessert? Apple gobbler. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello friends and boomers...............and Boomer friends. Well we're on the short work week count down to America's favorite holiday. Black Friday. It's that time of the year to give thanks again for American commercialism. I'm afraid without it we just wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in the month of December. What do I do? Oh NOOOOOOO! BRING BACK HALLOWEEN!! I know retail workers wouldn't mind. They would actually get a day off that month. But then......we'd be taking away Santa's only work day for the whole year. Do you think he moonlights somewhere? Have a great week everyone. joe

Good morning Connie, Family, Soot, L4L, Gerry, Ana, Butterflybabe, Mary, and every boomer. What day is it? Man I can't keep track this week at all. I feel like a hibernating bear over the last 4 days. I've fallen off the wagon as far as my exercising, hydrating, and diet plans. Of course I convinced myself that it's only normal for Thanksgiving week. Today is a bright sunny day, so it's back on the treadmill for me. I hope you all had a happy, and safe Holiday, and enjoy the rest of this weekend with your families. joe

Good morning Joe Connie, Family, Gerry, Ana, ButterFlyBabe, Mary and anyone else that happens to pop in today Good for you Joe ... I've sort of done the same with it being Thanksgiving, once a year Ana are you having your normal 'busy' schedule? I hope you're getting some "Ana Time" to relax Connie ... stay safe while shopping as I am guessing the stores might still be busy and have a 'fun' date ... I'll have a Danish to go this morning Family, hope your games are good matches today and your teams win ... get them chores done early (I will too!) Mary, keeping you and hubby in my thoughts and prayers The weekend is here and it's time for projects, chores and the Iron Bowl L4L Stay smart ... stay safe and Stay Out Of Trees!!

Hi all, Yesterday, Friday, got to car dealer for overdue maintenance. Everything fine and dandy now for a while. All set to go not going much of anyplace. Shared and laughed about Amazon and food delivery stories with the dealer's service rep. He's ordered pizza for his family on a Sunday night. His order was the last of a bunch delivered at the same time. Took 45 minutes and was cold. Lunch order came for him one day. Took 2 hours before he found out it belonged to a guy in next building with same name. I've had similar things happen including one food order that never made it to me, or those send to the wrong address. Ah well, crazy times call for crazy things to happen. Gotta laugh Weather's staying the way I like it. Mostly sunny and around mid 40s. It could stay that way until next spring; but it won't
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

Can't believe it's Saturday night already! It's been a very busy week but super productive which makes me happy and more relaxed. If I finish my remaining things tomorrow I can actually play a game. Woohoo! We had a delayed Thanksgiving dinner today since we had to postpone due to a plumbing issue. Plumbers messed it up Wednesday and had to come back after Thanksgiving. Never dull! Dinner was still just hubby and I, I was feeling antisocial. butterflybabe, how is your pup doing? family, enjoy! soot, it's been a busy combination of all my "jobs". But I'm actually get closer to being somewhat caught up! Are you rooting for Alabama or Auburn? Hope it's an exciting game! Joe, it is normal for Thanksgiving week. You can jump back into it next week! connie, sounds like a great day planned! Enjoy! Have a great rest of your day all!
