Has anyone else played any of the Metro games? I loved the second one and the first one was good, but not as fun as the second one. I finally got my computer rebuilt last week with some fairly high components and downloaded the third game, Metro Exodus Sunday - in all its 64 GB of glory! I can't decide what I think of it. I'm not very far in and the story is getting better, but I'm not getting to do much shooting and I've only seen monsters a couple of times. The graphics are absolutely stunning. Guess I'll keep playing and hope it gets better.

I have them and never ventured in. Let us know how they are. Sometimes a good shooter is what I need.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I would start with the first game because the story is quite immersive. I played the 2nd one first - twice in fact because I liked it so much!

Never played them, but they are on my list. Have read some good things about the series. The first one caused quite a stir as I recall.

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here

I got a couple of hours in today and it's finally starting to come together. Got a lot of monster hunting in and got killed several times! Since it's in a post-apocalyptic world, there are of course, crazy humans too!

Looking at my games, I remember starting Metro Exodus and I played for a few hours. Liked it, too. For some reason I stopped playing it. Sometimes I'm not in the mood for high-stress gaming, and if I remember correctly, that one was high stress right from the get-go. The last thing I remember was being on a mine cart with enemies on the tracks. Is that right?

That sounds more like the second one, Metro Last Light. And you're right - it was pretty intense!

Yeah, and that new video card lasted all of a week before it shot craps last night. I was so PO'd! I know it is all my fault and I know better, but it was a replacement for a card that was a brick in a build I did with my grandson a year ago. I ordered him a new one with Amazon 2 day delivery because it took a couple of months to get the replacement. I just never got around to installing it to make sure it worked. I can guarantee I will never buy anything made by PNY again!

Ordered a new RTX 2060 by ASUS from Newegg. That have such good sales right now.

Oh no!

Yes, you're right -- it was Metro Last Light.

Is Exodus different? Maybe I should fire it up and have a look-see.

So far, it's somewhat less tense and you are outside where the air is actually breathable sometimes! I finally got to some solo missions and having much more fun dodging and shooting monsters and enemies.
