If you played Big Fish Casino, Jackpot Magic Slots, or Epic Diamond Slots you may be part of a class action settlement

A court authorized this notice. You are not being sued. This is not a solicitation from a lawyer.

Has anyone else received the above email, I think it is a scam, but Big Fish must have been hacked for them to get my email address...

Yes, I read about this but who gave them my personal email address??????????? It must have been Big Fish?????????

I think the email I received may be from scammers, they wanted me to fill out forms with personal details.

I have not contacted Big Fish regarding the settlement, I don't play the sort of games that would be included in that, so I'm just concerned about my email address being given out by them.

Has anyone else received a personal email about this?

It's not a scam. I have the cards in the mail and emails.

Yes, you need to fill out a form if you spent money on the games. If you didn't then you can ignore.

Thanks for the info, I get a bit worried when people I don't know want a lot of personal info from me.

Still don't understand why I got the email in the first place.

I will ignore it.

Thanks for putting my mind at rest.

I haven't received an email regarding this, but if I did I would not go through the email to fill out forms. That is everything you are always warned about. Is there a place on the Big Fish site to do that?

I don't play these games - I'm just saying!

I don't need to fill out any forms as I don't gamble, on line or anywhere, that why I was so worried at receiving this email.

It seemed so strange to receive it in the first place.

Big Fish got in trouble a few months ago for "online gambling" apps, so I suppose it was only a matter of time until someone smelled money.

Even if I did use their "gambling app" I wouldn't want money back from having used it.
If I lost money for using something like that it would be my own fault.
Of course not everyone thinks that way.

It might be different if kids were knowingly allowed to gamble, as they are with certain other online games where kids (or at least people under the "legal" age of gambling) have been reported to spend well over a thousand dollars of their parents' money in online games.

copper, it went out to huge list of email addresses even those not associated with BF. It even went to my GB mail which I do not use on BigFish. I have 4 active email accounts and all got them. I know my emails were legit. The website for filing a claim is here and you'd need to enter the code given from email or snail mail postcard.

Most often these class action lawsuits end up paying little to those who signed on. Attorneys are the big winners if they win.

Jenny, this isn't new, the class action suits were filed almost 2 years ago. They finally settled and this is what they have to do.

Good catch, Drac. That explains things pretty clearly.
