Today is the day we have to put two of our little dogs to sleep. One has a brain tumor and one has cancer. My husband has to take them to have it done I'm too big of a wuss. Please pray for us .

My heart aches for you Debra! Two dogs is terrible. We put 2 animals to sleep this past year and I miss them so much, but, they were in such distress. I kept hoping that they would rally, but, alas, they never did. Such a hard decision. Virtual hugs to you.

Debra, will keep you and husband in my thoughts and prayers as this is one of the most difficult events in our daily lives. I get through it by knowing I'll join them one day...

So sorry for your loss. I'm a basket case when it comes to putting my sweet fur babies down, but I would rather take them myself because I want to be sure they are not afraid. It makes me feel better to comfort them in their final moments even though it breaks my heart. Each time, I swear "Never again." It's so painful, but then within a few months I'm back at the shelter looking for another dog that needs to find a loving home.

So sad to hear your news, Debra. It is assuredly a very hard thing to have to do.

I am sorry I didn't get back sooner to thank you all for the prayers and encouragement. You all are my special gamer family and I love you guys. We had a weepy couple of days after the loss of our furry friends. We'd had them for awhile. They were adopted from a shelter and we were glad to get them and they were glad to be with us. The oldest one, Miss Pittypat (Patty) was a Rat Terrier and the younger was Lucy. She was part Chihuahua/Rat Terrier and Lucy was my husband's best bud. So, you can imagine how hard that was to lose her, but we couldn't cure her. You know that saying "If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever".
So, we will move on with our other two dogs, Sneaky Pete and Zoe Marie. We'll love each other until we can't.

Hi Debra, I've just seen your post. I'm so sorry to read about your dogs. My heart breaks for you. We were in the same situation last year when we had to lose our wee dog whom we had had for 16 years. She will always be in our hearts.
