If anyone is a table-top role playing game fan, especially of the Dungeons and Dragons variety, I highly recommend catching "Critical Role". They are a group of voice actors who play D&D campaigns and do a great job at role playing. Their Dungeon Master (Matt Mercer) is excellent. They've been at this for probably 5-6 years now, so their YouTube channel has a couple hundred 2-3 hour episodes available to watch.

The first campaign (Vox Machima) started back in 2015 and continued through late 2017. They've changed out and added a few participants over the years, all have been great. The second campaign (The Mighty Nein) which is still running is on episode 127 and can be seen live, Thursday nights on their Twitch Channel Critical Role TV. You can play catch up by checking them out on the Geeks & Sundry YouTube channel that has all their past episodes.

They are all quite accomplished voice actors who have done English dubs of Japanese Anime as well as American anime such as the most recent Avengers animated series including the recent Spider Man into the Spider-Verse. If you're a Marvel Avengers fan you may also recognize Ashley Johnson who (among other roles) was in the first Avengers movie as the waitress talking up the actions of the Avengers and Captain America. It's great group of folks who really gel, and have a ton of fun. It's sort of like watching an old Radio Show being acted out. So if you have some time to blow, this is a great casual watch, and you might actually get hooked on the show. thumbsup

Interesting. I may check that out.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

One thing I should point out, this is a group of adults having fun, actually playing D&D together, sometimes getting fairly rowdy. As a result, their language does get a bit spicy sometimes. So fair warning if you've got kids around while you're watching them. grin

You might also notice one of the actors, Taliesin Jaffe hands shaking quite a bit. It's nothing serious, he has early onset of Essential Tremors which usually impact older folks, it just happened to hit him quite a bit younger. The cast joke that he's actually a century old tiefling disguised as a human. The truth is that he doesn't like the idea of taking pills for the condition so just deals with it.

lol

Honestly though, Matt Mercer, their Dungeon Master is seriously one of the best. His experience in acting/voice acting and love of the game really lends to the story. In certain parts of each campaign he'll request all, but one of the players leave the room, so he can take them through a part of the story like a dream sequence that is personal to their character. When ever he asks people to leave, but for one to stay, the one who's asked to stay invariably ends up looking like a kid at a scary campfire story. These are all seasoned voice actors, but he still gets them immersed. That's part of the fun of the program. grin The first campaign "Vox Machina" is no doubt great, but during the second campaign "The Might Nein", after they've been at it for a few years, they really get their stride and the chemistry between them is readily apparent.
