Good morning everyone,
It's raining quite heavily today so I may as well spend the day cleaning. We might cook our small turkey tonight if my husband feels like he could eat a big meal. It'll be good for another day or two so we can decide later.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Drac, so very sorry about your cat I've never had one, but a pet's a pet, no matter where they come from. Well, almost ordered my window treatments yesterday. I'm working with JC Penny which was highly recommended to me by several friends. Found what I want for 3 windows all of which will have some kind of blinds. The rest, which are smaller will have curtains. I learned the company that bought out Penny's has changed it a lot which is why the measurers and installers are a separate phone call. They used to be employed by Penny but not any more. Also found out that the color and pattern options changed to plainer, and not everything shown or available in the store. Sales rep told me she always finds herself apologizing to customers about the lack of choices. For me, fewer choices help with making my decision; too many overwhelm me, Took 90 mins to look at everything and I was pooped. Now I just have to go online to look at other options for rest of windows (rods and look of curtains). Call to get final measurements done. Once I am ready, because I don't a Penny's charge card, I have to return to the store to submit full request and pay on a different charge card. Penny's was a frequent shopping place for me years ago until they stopped offering the kind of clothes I liked. Next project is to update my handyman chores list. I have a few names to contact, hopefully someone or two will help with a few things. I can't do any of it myself. Getting those kind of chores done are the only thing I miss after being married to a handyman for 30 years. Finding someone has been a trip in itself. Could write a short book about it Looks like it's gonna be warm week, heading into 70s. Time to put a chair in my garage so I can sit outside for a while.
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

Happy Easter!
Hubby and I were up early yesterday and headed up to the mountains for a hike. Then up even earlier this morning for a beautiful sunrise service. Headed out to a hill with 500 other folks to celebrate as the sun came up. Could not have gone if I had not had both shots.
Then home to send Happy Easter gifs to the kids followed by phone calls. It was cool this morning but supposed to be nice by the afternoon, so hoping to get out for a nice stroll this afternoon.
Drac, I am so very sorry about Voldemort
I hope you all have a most wonderful and blessed day

Had a nice Easter meal with my DIL's family yesterday afternoon. Our granddaughter was home on a VERY short leave from her Army base in Fort Stuart, Georgia. She is so thrilled to finally have graduated from her Intelligence Analyst training last month and have a permanent base. She was an A++ student in high school and could have gone to any university she wanted, but she wanted to join the Army after she graduated last summer! She is a striking 6' tall and fit as a human can be!
Have a wonderful Easter, everyone!

Thank you, Winfrey. It was pretty sad when I went up to the hayloft to feed the other barn cats yesterday.
It sounds like everyone but hagatha is having beautiful weather!

Happy Easter, everyone.
I did cook our turkey yesterday and we shared it with our friend and neighbour from across the road. He's been such a good friend to us through my husband's illness. They watch sports together and play darts and drink beer, and it gives my guy a sense of normal even when he's not feeling too well.
After we ate we watched a couple of episodes of Jeeves and Wooster, an old Hugh Laurie/Stephen Fry collaboration based on P.G. Wodehouse's books. It's silly and hilarious in the way that British humour can be.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Happy Easter from here too! I took Nugget out for a few mile hike this morning after a few random acts of kindness on our local Buy Nothing Facebook page. If anyone is on Facebook I highly recommend that they check out there local Buy Nothing Group to give away things that are good but no longer needed. I gave away a one year old lawn mower (I have a service since my shoulder surgeries) to a kid looking to earn money for college in the fall. Made me quite happy! After that I went kayaking with my friends who is legally blind. We saw lots of minks, and a coyote hot on their trail. I love kayaking up a quiet creek because the wildlife pays no mind. Ana

Forgetting to say Happy Easter to you all. I did a bit of work outside and looking what I can change in my flowers beds. And with my two sons we took off the temporaire car port. We had a good sunny day. Take care.

I'm late responding to the birthday wishes. Thanks so much. I got my second Covid shot on Thursday. They warned me I might have an unpleasant reaction since I had antibodies from having Covid last year. The reaction was supposed to occur about 12 hours later. I was expecting the worst but 12 hours later I felt fine. The next day was my birthday and I still felt fine and went out for breakfast, then played cards with friends. Aha, 36 hours later and I thought I had been run over by a very large truck. I laid on the couch and slept most of the day, then went to bed and slept all night. This morning I woke up my usual sunny self with no further ill effects. I guess the vaccine is worth one day of feeling really bad if it provides immunity.
Happy Easter! I opted not to decorate the golf cart and join the Easter Parade because every Holiday I buy decorations and get ready to go, it pours rain. In an effort not to jinx the parade for others, I watched from the sidelines. Sure enough, the day stayed beautiful and sunny from start to finish. I'm no scientific genius, but I think I may be onto something. Me + golf cart parades = stormy weather.

I'm not into Easter but am sure glad warmer weather is here. Between that and vaccine, makes me feel free to have outside fun, even something as wonderfully simple as sitting outside my home with friends eating an early dinner provided by Subway. My closest friend contacted me from southern Illinois where her husband's family lives. First time they'd seen them in a year. What a relief to be inching toward the end of the worst of the virus; hopefully it stays that way Had acupuncture on Sat which, after about 10 treatments I'm starting to bounce back from quicker. At first, I was exhausted and couldn't think much the first few days after treatment. Lucky to get one exercise and chiro treatment in. The initial exhaustion is waning away. Yesterday, tired but more energy that after previous treatments, actually got a few things done. Today a bit more tired, think I'll just enjoy some gaming time. Maybe take a lawn chair (the base has a rocker type of mechanism) out from under the tarp and put it in garage so it's ready. I like to go out mid-afternoon to read, close my eyes, and wait for my dog to come home from playing.

It's been sunny but chilly and very windy. Still, it's lovely to see the sun. It might be nice to take a drive down the coast this week if the weather holds because it's too cold and windy for boating.
I'm starting to see an improvement in my lung capacity after a couple of months on the bike. My asthma is not nearly as bothersome these days. I can get a full breath now. I'll never be able to go full tilt and I doubt I'll ever be able to get through an actual spin class, but I'll find it easier to tackle steep hills when I go walking this summer. I've always been the one who has to stop half way up a hill and it would be nice to just be able to keep up.

Florida got a slow start with the vaccine rollout, but once the feds opened up huge walk up sites, we really started showing progress. The age limit dropped every week and now 16+ and any age adult can get a vaccination. Nursing homes and extended care facilities are done and they started on prisoners this week. High hopes things are under control very soon and we can try to get back to normal, if anybody remember what normal used to be. I can't wait to go fishing and to the beach.

hagatha, I don't have ashtma, but I get more windy now than I did a few years ago. Good for you for pushing forward to feel better. I like to notice every little bit of positive change. Slow but sure. Problem is, it takes patience As for your vaccine, May will be here before you know it. Almost warm enough for AC today; but heading back to 50s and 60s after that for a while. That's ok, long as I can open a window for fresh air. Renewed my driver's license online, but gotta go in anyway cause, since I last did it, I added a po box to my address and they insist I come in to verify it. What a pain Seem so me the more they try to make things more efficient, the more complicated they become

Finally a nice, still day for boating. We went out for a spin and tried our luck fishing, but nothing was biting. We decided to come in a bit early, which was a good thing because the tide table was way off and we're moored in a tidal river. There was about 2 feet of water as we inched past the barge under construction in the river's harbour. If we'd stayed out as long as we intended it would have been a looooong, cold, hungry wait until the tide came in.

Good morning, everyone! Well, MY day started off with a bang. I had a message from Razer that I had won one of their gaming chairs! If you're not familiar, Razer is a well-known company that sells very high end gaming laptops and accessories. Winfrey and hagatha both have one of their high end gaming laptops. They had a contest a few weeks ago giving away two of their gaming chairs... one on Facebook and one on Instagram. All you had to do was write a post on why the Iskur gaming chair would be the best chair in the world for you. So I did a post about being an over-70 gaming great grandma. And I won the chair given away on Facebook. I about fell over... this chair is $499 on their website! Razer Iskur Gaming ChairThink I'll have one of Connie's Danishes with my coffee to celebrate!
Once again, weeds are my life!

Drac, congratulations! What a great prize.
Razer has such good peripherals. I should stay away from their website! It's dangerous.

Drac, that is sooo cool! Good for you Really perks a person up to win something! Years ago my folks put in a few $ enter a church raffle. They were shocked when the church called to say they won a few hundred, which went a long way in the 60s, Shortly after my ex and I were married, during 80s, we entered raffle held by a local youth group and were shock to get a call saying we'd won the first prize, a 16" RCA color TV with remote. This was a major piece of wood furniture, and remotes were still a new thing. We had it about 15 years, before replacing with a computer type screen model, shortly after those started coming out. Gave the RCA to a church youth group.

The last summons for jury duty I got was for Federal jury duty about 4 years ago! I would have loved to do it, but I would have had to drive an hour into downtown St. Louis every day for it. I had to testify for one of my cases when I was working at the Federal courthouse and the parking was a nightmare. The guy had a Federal arson charge after he set fire to his gas station just hours after I had done an inspection of his gasoline tanks. He was convicted and sentenced to 5 years. Four years ago, I had just had major surgery and got an excuse from my doctor to excuse me. It was accepted. Maybe you can get one too???

oldbroad, since you rely on public transportation, I wonder why that wouldn't be a good excuse for you? You have to way to get home? They can't expect you to sleep on the courthouse steps?!

A while back, I was getting summoned almost every other year, and ended up on two juries; a malpractice, and one with punitive damages from a fatal car crash. But were interesting, educational experiences in civil law suits, and both were in main federal building in downtown Chicago. The last summons I had was to appear at the criminal courts building, the world of harder criminals. I was scared about even being around that neighborhood and had no one to go with me, so my therapist wrote up an letter which they honored. Knock on wood, I've not been summoned since. Thank God.
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

And they don't need to know that either. Just plead transportation issues and that you don't drive.

I thought they changed it from 70 to 65 here, but in re-reading it, one page says 70 and a second page says 65 so I am not sure. Maybe you have to go for possible selection until you are 70 but if you are between 65 and 70 you can then turn them down in person?? PS - I know you are not 70, but was not sure about the rules out there

Hi all.
Oldbroad, I wish I could help with your dilemma. I know how hard it is to have to rely on public transportation that isn't set up for more rural routes. In my days at York University, when I didn't drive and had no car, I was often left taking public transit late at night when I felt unsafe waiting for hours for a bus connection. At the time, York was at the very northern edge of Toronto and the bus service was infrequent. I'd come home from my part-time job downtown in the winter and it would be dark and very cold, and I would freeze while waiting. It's exhausting.
Finally, spring is really here. The garden is absolutely full of gormless young birds being fed. The nesting material I put up is torn to shreds, so there's nest-building everywhere.
I've been to the garden centre and bought some lettuces and a few wild currant bushes for the butterflies and hummingbirds. I'll put the currants on the south slope that fronts the water, so we can be entertained when we have a fire on the beach.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Another yucky day! I feel like family with "same thing!" Raining, cold and very windy. Just came in from the barn and am huddled by my heater now. Another slug day. Oh well, at least yesterday was sunny and I spent most of it running a friend who doesn't drive to the doctor. Was grateful for my good old Dodge Dakota pickup with 4-wheel drive and a manual transmission as I have to drive through TWO creeks to get to her place!

Sun! There is sun today! So no slug day for me then! Cleaning. Got up this morning and it looked like a cat had exploded in the living room! One of my so-called barn cats thinks she should be a house cat and I let her inside a lot because she's a $650 barn cat because of persistent UTI's and is supposed to eat a VERY, VERY expensive food. Miss M is shedding like mad! It thundered 200 miles away, so the smelly Bloodhound was in the house last night and she is shedding like mad too. Don't come to my house if you don't expect to leave covered in pet hair! Hope soot leaves me one of those glazed donuts!

Good morning, all. No doughnuts for me today, but coffee, yes please, in large quantities!
A beautiful sunny day here, too. My cat is already asking for a walk. Like a dog, she knows what the word, "walk" means. But lately we have this nagging suspicion that she also understands it when we spell the word out loud. We have already established that spelling the word, "fish" won't get us off the hook. Animals are so much smarter than a lot of people given them credit for.

oldbroad, you're right. It was 26th and California; not the greatest neighborhood at all. Few years ago, my closest friend was summoned to that courthouse. I was worried, but she assured me that she had had to visit that courthouse 10 years prior and felt she could handle it. Her husband even cautioned and offer to drive and go with her. She felt it was unnecessary. Later, she said she admitted she had been wring, and was surprised how much that area had changed. Since the last time I had jury duty, my last name changed with my divorce. Waiting for them figure that out. I don't think I had jury duty before I was married. Interesting info about the age issue cause I didn't know that. Course, I was much younger than and that was no where near an issue for me.

Toddlers, too !! When my eldest Daughter was just a toddler spelling the word "sweets" was common place because even though I didn't let her have many at all, she did know what the word itself meant. Anyway, one day my Sister in law called round and she had brought a small bag of Dolly Mixtures for her. She said to me "where should I put these s -w -e -e -t -s ??". [Spelling out rather than actually saying the word.] Whereupon my little girl immediately went to the sideboard and pointed to the one of the small locked doors there !!

Yes, that's pretty much the reaction we get. If we spell the word "fish" my cat immediately goes over to her bowl. These days the word "chicken" also must be spelled out, but she hasn't learned to spell that word yet so we're still safe. Of course, if we actually have chicken for her we do get her going by saying that word in a rooster squawk (if you can imagine..."chiKEN, buk, buk, buk...chiKEN, buk, buk, buk. She gets the picture pretty clearly.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning, everyone! Just grabbing coffee this morning... got a busy day ahead. Have to work on a computer for an elderly guy. He always gives me a bottle of wine when I leave!
I've been thinking of watching the Longmire series on Netflix again. Also looking forward to the "Mare of Eastwood" new series on HBO MAX starting this weekend.

Good morning ya'll It's a gorgeous day out there. Supposed to be record heat with a cool down later in the week following rain. I've had a great morning and now must go work on taxes for son. That's not going to be quick or easy as apparently at least one of the kids' SS number was stolen so it will be a series of "file this, send this, etc." Ya'll have a great one

Howdy all! I've been trying to wrap up my workdays by 9 and getting in at least a half hour of playtime on my VR games. I promised myself in January and it never came to light but I am on a 5 day roll! Woohoo! It makes me a little less cranky to do something just for me.
L4L, I am so sorry to hear about the SS woes. That is horrible!

It's a gorgeous day in the neighborhood. Lil Soot and I had a gentle stroll around the hills. I'm on tap to help with dinner tonight, so am grabbing some rest while I may. Then Soot and I have Bible Study and Bedtime!
It's been a busy one. Ana, sounds like your day has been long. I hope it's nearly over and tomorrow is "shorter"

L4L, I'm reading a book by Louise Penny. The title is "All the Devils Are Here". It's a series with Chief Inspector Armand Gamache as the main actor. The action is usualy in the Province of Québec except for this one that is in France. It's the 16th book by Penny with Gamache that you can read in French or in English. They are all very interesting.

Thanks, Chief, I'll have to look for the first one! It's a bit overcast out there and chillier than I thought, but that was enough to get me to move a little faster at the park than I intended. I hope you all have a wonderful day

Just coffee this morning. Fixed hubby his Saturday biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon breakfast. I have a giant box with a new 50" TV inside waiting for me to set it up. Not looking forward to it! Loved the old one, but ever since we had 4 huge lightning strikes next to the house last fall, the HDMI ports have been wonky and they finally quit working.
Grandson is bringing his girlfriend and her daughter for supper tonight. It was just going to be him, but he just called to ask if it was OK if he brought them too. Need to change my menu a bit!

TV is up and running without TOO much tearing my hair out! Hubby is happy and that's all that matters - he doesn't like change!
Mustard basted pork loin on the pellet grill, chicken tenders ready to go for the youngster - don't know her age, but could be only 2! - mac and cheese, fresh asparagus from the pasture, my own spiced applesauce I canned last fall and home made brownies for dessert. I don't think anyone will go hungry!
Now if only the weather would have been nicer. I have to put on my big girl panties and get prepared for the very good possibility of SNOW on Tuesday! Yikes!

Good morning! We have a possibility of snow tomorrow. Up to 3.5 inches. Good thing, it'll melt in no time, but it'll be a slushy, yucky day to work outside. It's a rainy day today, of course, it starting now as I'm ready to start my work day. It was a great weekend, went on a day trip Saturday to a State Park for a hike with Nugget and my sister. It was wonderful. Yesterday was a get caught up on GB work day, but I'm all caught up and ready for the week! Have a great one!

Good afternoon, this morning was fast and furious! The afternoon (and indeed the whole week) is looking to be the same. Hubby and I had a great day of hiking yesterday with Lil Soot. The wee man is amazing on the trail. Never seems to get tired, and goes to sleep quickly in the car on the way home. I'm going to workout gently to give my body time to recover, and head back into the day. Hope you all are having a wonderful one

oldbroad, other than my tailbone still being sore if I sit too long (more than 15 minutes) I am great! I forget about it all day till I get home and sit at the desk or drive too long. Thank you for asking!
L4L, Lil soot sounds like Nugget. She can go all day hiking and swimming!

I finally get my first COVID shot on May 6th, although British Columbia is now open for everyone, I think. I took the plunge and had my first Shingles shot last fall. I had a sore arm for a couple of days. I had the second Shingles shot last week and was in bed for two days. I still have muscle pain in my arms. Hopefully the COID shots won't affect me the same way.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I've been reading some things saying POSSIBLY - meaning no scientific proof - if you have a more severe reaction to the vaccine, it may indicate you would have had a severe case of COVID. Hubby then said if that was the case, his two days of feeling like cr*p were well worth it!!

Hubby then said if that was the case, his two days of feeling like cr*p were well worth it!! Yes, I've heard that, too. I'm now the only person going out for groceries so I'd better stock up before my shot. This Spring my husband tried to do some of things he's always done in the past, like clearing the weeds from the greenhouse and power-washing our deck and the driveway, but he's slowly realizing that he simply cannot do any kind of physical work any longer. His back is just too painful now. We have a shared property, an unusual duplex on the water, so he was feeling pretty guilty about not doing our share, but our bubble neighbours all came over to help with the yard work. We supplied the beer and pizza and it all turned into a nice little social event. We're so lucky to have such good friends around us now, since we can't see our Lower Mainland friends or our families. Oldbroad, I'm sorry about your cat. Losing them is so hard.

Yes, it turned into a great day. The weather was perfect; not a cloud in the sky, no wind at all, but not too hot. We have a giant deck looking out over the water and it was so nice to be able to just hang out. Normally it's too windy to sit out there.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Argh! Boating plans sidelined by heavy wind. We were going to go up Phillips Arm or maybe even Bute Inlet to look for Grizzlies on the beaches, eating the new sea grass. Instead I pruned some wild roses on the beach path and watched Netflix.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

hagatha, sorry the wind scuttled your plans.
It's a cool day (to me) so I'll be working out inside. Then I'm Flirting with the idea of heading out to do shopping today, but may just take today as an "ahhh" day as those have been sorely lacking lately.
Whatever you end up doing, may it be a wonderful one!

Sorry, I've not been here for a while, too many doc appts make me frustrated and tired; all I want to do is play games; and doc appts not done yet. Last Friday saw reg doc for 6 month and we talked about my hip pain. Time to go to ortho doc. Reg doc suggested the same ortho doc I went to a few years ago for my knees, which also aren't doing good. Have an appt with him for next week. Meanwhile, pain in my left foot made me think screw inserted 6 years ago needed to come out. Nope. I've got a stress fracture in the middle bone. Doc noted I've been walking on outside of my feet where the bones are less sturdy. Didn't even realize I was doing that; probably due to balance issues. Came home with ortho boot which is challenging my balance again. Been a long time since I've worn one, and trying to remember how I got things done the last time. I'm exhausted. And, still have 3 other 'reg' appts that are overdue. Tired of working my life around that stuff At least I have good docs... TRYING to look on bright side; winter is over which makes life a little easier, and I no longer have work responsibilities so don't have to account for my time, and push myself to get that done too. oldbroad, so sorry about your kitty

butterflybabe, that sounds exhausting. We go through that periodically with the husband's health issues, and we both just get to the point where all we want is a day in bed with a cup of tea and a good movie.
Draclvr, we were pretty disappointed, as the wind is up again and it can go on for a month or more in the Spring. It's sad because we're aware that my husband's boating opportunities are fleeting at this point.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I have no problem with going to doctors and at least "trying" to be healthy. Both my husband and I would be dead already if we hadn't. I would have died 5 years ago with the ovarian tumor and last summer with the blood clots in my lungs. Nope, I've got lots more to do in my life yet - such as getting Razer Gaming Chair put together as I finally got it! Seeing doctors is a small price to pay. However, I agree with butterflybabe and hagatha... sometimes I just want to take a nap after days of appointments!
Even my doctor adverse friend who runs a 501c 3 foundation for caring for elderly, sick and unadoptable animals finally agreed to let me take her to a doctor - she doesn't drive and lives out in the middle of nowhere. Turns out she has CLL, a chronic leukemia. I'm taking her to get a CT scan tomorrow and then taking her back to the doctor next Tuesday to discuss a treatment plan or to just monitor it with bloodwork. She also hates all the blood tests here and the scans there and this doctor and that doctor. But as I told her, she has a lot of animals dependent on her.
oldbroad, it doesn't sound stupid to me at all. It's just your decision to live your life the way you want to!
Once again, weeds are my life!

I will have to post a picture... but that will involve me cleaning off my desk! This chair is SO heavy! The box said putting it together was a two-man job. Hah! I put it together myself, thank you very much! The thing is like a rocket ship and I haven't figured it all out yet.

I've seen gaming chairs before but nothing nearly as attractive as the Razer chair. Is it the one with the coloured trim?

Wow, Drac, I am impressed but not surprised. You are an amazing woman.
Gerry, so good to see you. We've missed you
Connie, what's your weekend look like?
I was up Early (for me) and out to get an MRI. Found the place, survived the traffic, and home now sipping coffee and getting ready to work out. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

I don't know about amazing... mostly just persistent, l4l! And yes, hagatha, it's the one with all the green Razer stitching and logo. I've switched the color scheme to all my Razer peripherals and my computer case to Razer green!
I've got time for coffee and to get some garlic bread ready for a steak cook at our American Legion tomorrow night and then am heading out to pick up my friend to have a CT scan done today.
Hope everyone has a really wonderful day!

oldbroad, be assured I hate having to go to doctors, but I find it extremely difficult to enjoy life when I'm hurting. As it happens, my life has been a series of them going beyond the regular checkups. I was born with a double hare-lip and cleft palate, which took 10 surgeries before my face looked 'normal'. One of them caused my sleep apnea. As my body aged, my feet started talking to me causing another bunch of surgeries. Without the health care I've received, I'd be in a wheelchair, unable to easily breath and feed myself, maybe even a shorter lifespan. I don't mean to be dramatic, but the surgeries, painful and aggravating as they've been, changed my life for the better. Now I need to find out what to do to get my balance back, cause that's what's causing the pain and stiffness from tension. I need to know for sure what's going on and figure out my limits.
But, I agree with you about the frustration of calling doc offices. New technologies, as well as new generation of office personnel bring on other challenges. Everything is computerized now. I hate having to have a password for every 'patient portal' set up by doc offices to update and provide info. In some ways I like it, others I don't. Every time I go into the meds section of my profile, always one or two still listed that I said to remove. I recently cancelled a dental appoiintment for which I had been asked to fill in my med history via a texted questionaire. Didn't get to it. After cancelling, called the doc's office to ask them to resend it and was told can't do it until I've an appt. Huh? Nope, can't do it ahead of time. Receptionist agreed would be smart and easy to do it that way, but system not set up that way. Go figure!!
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

We had a nice morning pottering around the house.
Spring weather is definitely here, and the bird life in our garden is wonderful. The goldfinches arrived a couple of days ago and the house finches are in blazing colour at the moment.
The humpbacks should be here fairly soon, too. Hopefully the wind and tide will allow for some boating opportunities. My guy may not have too many of those left -- he's definitely losing ground, though very slowly. Getting out on the water perks him up, especially if there's something to photograph.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

A good day to you all. We are at 60F today. Planting the flowers in the flowers beds is near. I will plant close to 25 geraniums (my favourite) and 10 coleus and possibly buy a few perennials. That will keep me busy for a couple of days starting around 15 or 20 th may. A quiet day today and tomorrow as usual. Just finish my walk. Take care.

Not much happening today. Getting used to ortho boot. Removed a piece that was digging into my leg and feels better. It's just stiff and heavy to lug around. Weather staying in 50s and 60s most days; 70s should start soon. Before ya know it, we'll be complaining about the heat and humidity. Staying inside to cool off in stead of warm up Funny dog story. Yesterday morning, when doggie day care came to pick up my dog, two people came, one of the usual guys (Jake) had brought a new staff member to meet Huey and explain how to work with him. Huey was snoozing in his bed and the guy called him out. Slowly, Huey started ambling over. The guy hunched down with Hueys leash and collar, ready to hook him up, but Huey, having noticed the other person walked right passed him to greet the woman. Maybe you had be there, but I laughed my head off. Now Jake a sweet kindda quite guy. Last week, he had to actually walk to Huey's bed to coax him out and get him moving, another laughable situation. Counter that with another staff, Tara, who is fun to chat with, comes into my home with a loud Hello Huey lets go, and stoops down to pat him before hooking the leash. He doesn't need any coaxing when she comes. Lately I've come to take more notice that Huey seems more apt to jump up and run with the ladies, and take his time with the men. I've have to pay more attention and report back If my dog had his way, I'd be up feeding him by 4 am, and that ain't gonna happen Some days, if I don't sleep well, I'm up around 5am. Other days, he's whining by 5:30am. If I happen to oversleep and not get up until 6, he's frantic and overly thrilled that I finally woke up. Anyway, by the time the day care folks arrive about 7am, I'm just about alert and thinking of breakfast. But no matter how I feel, watching him run or not run to day care staff, he makes me laugh. During the really cold days, sometimes the staff will pick him up so he doesn't have to walk on the ice or snow. What a life.
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

I've said too that I'm coming back as one of my cats or dogs!

Good morning, Danish and Donuts in the Break Room. Breakfast out this morning, then not sure what's on the agenda.

Oh, my, family! The 80's! Sounds like heaven to me! We're supposed to get a couple of days like that this week - heck I'll just take the 70's! I will DEFINITELY be outside working! Sounds like you will have some nice days to spend some time outside too, family!
Once again, weeds are my life!

Our nice weather has turned into rain, rain and rain. That's given me a chance to finish Cyberpunk, which should be soon.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
