just started game , did not see a group of carnival masked people meet, then it jumps to brittany , now do i go to exhibition hall , talk to claire, the restorer or to museum director , or some one else ? please let me know what to do ok. thanks .

I haven't played the game myself, so I would suggest you check out a written walkthrough and a video walkthrough that can probably help answer your questions.

By the way, it sounds like the group of carnival masked people occurs in an intro or something like that. That is the way it seems to me from reading the walkthrough.

Follow the walkthrough step by step and you should be fine.

What Marian said of course. So, if you have talked to the director, Claire, and then the director again, go back to the workshop and start looking around to see what you can find. That's according to the walkthrough.

You are early enough in the game that you can restart it to see that introduction if you think it will help. You can save your game where you are and just restart to watch it and then either continue on in that new game or load up the saved game if you don't want to repeat any conversations over.

And don't forget to check the notebook at the top of the screen. It will be helpful!

Well, I did play the game but don't remember a whole lot of it. I don't think I liked it too much though. What I mentioned above is just what is in the walkthrough.

just checking to see if i'm on the right track, at the part where i looked up to the ceiling vault , saved it there . i see planets , jupiter i'm i on the right track ?? or do i need to do some thing else ?? please let me know ok.thanks.

All I can do is refer you to the walkthrough as I haven't played the game. So, please check the walkthrough and see what it says! I've suggested before that you print off the walkthrough and just check off each step as you finish it to make sure you haven't missed something.

You can also check out the video walkthrough that I linked to above. It sounds like you are moving along in the game.

stuck at the part where i need to enter from left to right - 8 5 and 2 , i got the first one 8 but can't get 5 and 2 what do i have to do to get 5 and 2 ? this is driving me nuts . please send help soon ok .

Did you do this?

Jupiter: Go down to Exhibition hall. Look up at the ceiling-vault.

Click on vault and see the planets. Jupiter is the 5th planet from the sun.

Digit Claire knows: See that Claire is not here. Exit to courtyard via the bottom screen.

Talk to Claire by the well. Learn that the second of March is their day

It is what the walkthrough says to do so I'm assuming it triggers the clue so you can enter the 5 and 2. I cannot actually remember so this is just off the top of my head. Give it a try and see if it works or not.

Looking at the walkthrough, here is the first mention of the tweezers:

Did you open the chest? Are you in close up view? Did you then click on it?

There doesn't seem to be any trick to it. The walkthrough just says:

" Combination: After getting the clues and the numbers associated with the clues, enter from left to right: 8 5 2. Click on empty space on the dial to allow the arrow to move to the correct number.

Place the correct number inside the square. Hear a click. Click on chest while in close up.

Take the pistol with ramrod and the pistol spanner. "

As always, just follow the walkthrough. Thank you for posting from the walkthrough, oldbroad! Hopefully that will get deleterman through this part.

I can only refer you back to what I wrote earlier. If you've opened the chest in close up view it seems you should be able to click on the pistol with ramrod and the spanner to pick them up. Other than going into the game to see if there is something missing from the walktrhough (which I highly doubt), I don't know what else to tell you. Sorry.

You can also try watching a video walkthrough of the game. Here is the page listing all of the videos. You will need to figure out which one corresponds to where you are in the game. Watching this should help you figure out how to get past the part where you are stuck.

Watch Part 3 "Opening the Chest" (from the link Marian sent above). It shows you exactly what to do right at the beginning. You can see where to place your hand to click and pick up.

Did you get the pistol with ramrod and pistol spanner? There is SO much to be done in this game and lots of it can be done in different order so you really need to follow the walkthrough as much as possible.

no did not get pistol with ramrod and pistol spanner , just pistol ! or just a photo of it. i will go back at my last save and go from there . thanks for your help on this game.

I would suggest that you look at the walkthrough steps that lead up to this section to see if you have missed doing something along the way.

Also, you could look at a YouTube video walkthrough for the game. I posted the link to it after your original post in this thread.

I really don't know deleterman but if you followed the steps that Marian posted above and you say you got in to the secret compartment, it sounds like you already picked up the ramrod and pistol spanner as you had to use it to get into the secret compartment.

I think you should move on to a different area of the game and see what happens. Use the walkthrough to see what's next after opening the secret compartment.

Did you find the dictaphone earlier? The dictaphone and tweezers are in a drawer in Marcel's desk in the workshop. I can't tell you how to get back to the workshop so I hope you can figure that out.
