To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self. I wonder what's on television...?

Fil, Lady K, jarkeld, flotsam - all good ones! flotsam - couldn't agree more. That guy has done some tremendous stuff, especially Vietnam and the American Civil War Remi - not bread I'm afraid - the answer is slightly more bizzare

3. According to Google, the answer is salt and pepper. The granules can get into eyes and equipment.
I'm confused. I thought the question had to do with eating before even getting into the space shuttle. Does that mean they eat on board before lift off?
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

Apologies, butterflybabe - I'll kill this one as it is based on out-of-date information.
In 1964 a US Dept of Agriculture researcher recommended that NASA ban austronauts from eating any flatulence-inducing foods (such as beans, cabbage, sprouts and broccoli) before a space flight. This was because the gas that was produced presented an increased fire risk, and that risk peaked at 5-6 hours after consumption.
NASA apparently ignored him...
