Please tell me what I am doing wrong or not doing if you can. I really think I've hit a first ever glitch!

I am trying to get a book from Rachel, Formal Victorian Dining. I got her math book for her out of the lost and found where it ended up after Mel had it. She won't make the exchange with me though. She keeps telling me that I've made a boo boo and she's left me a note online. (Yes, I have the menu.) Without the book, I cannot get into Izzy's room, nor can I see the clue for the silverware puzzle. I suppose I can try the puzzle using the walkthrough and see what happens. I received a message on my phone long ago to check Izzy's room but have no way to do so.

At this point, she (Rachel) is referring to the icon photos I am supposed to be taking. I had posted 3 of them - apparently they were okay. Then I posted the bird school emblem. She had flagged me that it was no good and I deleted it and tried again. Well, since trying to get this book from her, I have changed the picture, deleted the picture, deleted all the pictures, and put all the pictures back. I have also played from a prior save. Each and every way I've tried it she tells me the same thing but there is not any message online. Even when I had deleted all the pictures she told me the same thing.

I cannot move on without this book. The game is very non-linear and I have already done a lot of stuff past this point, such as chased the squirrel up the tree, the drafting puzzle, the cornerstone puzzle, the piano puzzle.

I'm kind of frustrated. Sorry!

Edit: Cannot do the silverware puzzle without the book. Nothing happens. I am not going to be very happy if I have to go back prior to those icon pictures and replay all of this stuff. I was doing quite well. Only used the walkthrough on the 3rd part of the squirrel tree puzzle.

2nd Edit: So, I've been watching all the video walkthroughs and I guess I shouldn't have downloaded the pictures I had into the computer. I guess I should have waited until I had all of them. It appears that way in MaG's walkthrough also though it doesn't say that. I don't know if I should even bother replaying all that I will need to replay, especially since I saw a lot of stuff now which kind of ruins the game.

Sorry about your troubles, ob. I have played the game several times in the past and never had a glitch, but who knows.

At any rate, you can find a bunch of saved games here - you can probably find one pretty close to where you left off. That way, you should be able to continue on with the game. wave

Thanks family.

Thanks Marian! II may try one of the saves to see. I'll have to download to 10 and transfer to 7 as I'm playing in Win 7. First I will try to pin point in my own saves if I can replay from one without having to replay all the puzzles again.

Thanks. I found the save from before I downloaded any of the photos of the icons and replayed from there (the tree, the piano, a bunch of little stuff, argh). Anyway, I was able to get the book and do the silverware puzzle. Done for tonight!

I hope the rest of the game will go more smoothly.
