Professor Keslake had no sooner found a way to turn iron into gold than he was kidnapped and taken to Kempe Castle. The next day, a poacher, Bert Baggs, was caught in the grounds. He was blindfolded, taken to the Castle and put into a cupboard while the kidnappers checked his story. Luckily they released him unharmed. Baggs {in fact an undercover spy) went to the police and told them exactly what he remembered after waking up in the cupboard. From Baggs's statement and the floor plan, , can you work out which cupboard Baggs woke up in, and where the Professor is hidden?

'When they took me out of the cupboard, I was in a warm place. We went through a door on the right and turned left down a corridor. After a while we turned left again. I could hear an odd but distant sound - like balls being hit. We turned left - again! - and then right. Some water was running beside me then I nearly fell down some steps.

'We went right, into another very warm room. There was a strange smell like strong food. We went through another door, and entered a room where we seemed to dodge around furniture a lot. We left that room and turned right. As I walked I could definitely smell food and hear balls being hit -though it sounded clearer thon last time. The corridor curved to the left and I was guided up some more steps. We turned left into another room. It was very echoey. l slipped and felt a wooden floor under my hands. Then we went into another room, which was quite different - the sound was muffled, there was carpet, and a musty smell.

'We took a door to the right out of that room, then turned left and left again. ! smelt an unpleasant smell. A flute was being played close by, and there was the hum of on engine. We turned left, then took a left into another room. There they took off my blindfold. The lights were off, but I saw - just for a moment - the cupboard where they are hiding the professor.'

(Please put your answer in a spoiler to prevent others from seeing it smile )

To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self.
I wonder what's on television...?
