Since I don't live in Georgia, I'll just go to the one near me which so far has had great service and food.

family, if your area is anything like mine, restaurants and stores are suffering from a severe worker shortage and sadly, employees that only show up when they feel like. I know of restaurants that are closing without notice because some days no one shows up at all. Patience is often needed to the servers that likely are dealing with more tables than used to. It may just be that they just are employees who could care less about customer service, but unless they were rude to me, I'd give them a good tip anyways. You never know what they are dealing with.

We always tip 20%. These wait staff are sometimes only making about $3 an hour and rely on tips. I hate the system and would much rather they just get paid a fair wage. But it's what we've got, so we are always generous. During the lockdown, I picked up a $27 order for a couple of steak sandwiches and left a $20 tip because I knew the wait staff was really struggling. The owner is a friend and called to ask if I really meant to do that! Dave did the same thing and the little gal that usually waited on us when they are open jumped up and down with joy, saying ,"Look what I got!"

It sure is going up everywhere. I have to budget too. But if I can't tip fairly, I probably wouldn't eat out.

I have to agree with Drac and if I can't afford a proper tip, I would not eat out or I'd order something less expensive. Servers rely on tips to live. They are not paid like others.

I love Cracker Barrel! The biscuits are to die for! The fish fry special is hand battered to order and deliciously light and crunchy. I like to shop in their gift area because they find some very interesting items to sell. They also have a lot of the old-time candy for sale.
The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.

And their cheesy potatoes are also to die for! We don't go often because the nearest restaurant is about 20 miles away, but the food is always so good. They are very clever about arranging all the goodies out front to make you think you really need to buy this or that!
