If you never get your containers back, then you absolutely SHOULD ask her to bring her own containers. I know I would. Either that or ask that everyone who attends your cooking class to each bring a container for leftovers because yours are all gone.

I merged your new question with the previous thread you made about tupperware. I put microwave safe tupperware into the search box on Amazon and it showed me this page. Most of it is probably safe for the dishwasher too, but you can find out by reading the item descriptions.

Good for you, family. I agree. That doesn't sound like actual Tupperware at all, but rather the cheap stuff they have in the grocery stores. REAL Tupperware is mostly dishwasher and microwave safe.

You can't buy Tupperware in stores like Wal Mart. You can find a Tupperware dealer or order from their website. However, Wal Mart has TONS of food storage containers. Just go check them out and see if they have what you want.

I recommend glass containers with lids like these kinds. Then you can pop them in the microwave as well. I have some that go from freezer to oven and have a silicone cover that allows you to hold even when hot. Love them! EDIT - Just found my favorites here.

oldbroad, I can't tell you how many near million dollar client homes I go in and find all their margarine etc containers washed out in the strainers ready for use. Nothing wrong with it! I just had to switch to glass because hubby microwaves the plastic and I don't like the chemicals released when you do that. Connie, I think you will love them! They have held up very well for us and we food prep a lot so they are constantly in use. Just never remove the silicone over the glass. Hubby did and it's hard to get back on perfectly. They go in the oven, microwave and dishwasher with them on and it's perfect!
