Help !! I'm trying to get the ID card from the cat - outside the university library - using a tuna bagel.
And I'm pretty sure I know what to do but it's a timed puzzle and I'm absolutely NOT quick enough

The only thing I can suggest until another player comes along is to watch the video walkthrough on YouTube that starts here. The walkthrough is in multiple parts, but you can probably find where you are in the game.

It's so long since I used a spoiler tag I've forgotten HOW to.
Are there instructions somewhere ??

Mad, we posted at the same time. I have a post right before the one you just posted.

To use a spoiler, choose "use full editor." Then when you see the boxes to select from left to right, the spoiler one is the second from the right. Click on that, the spoiler tags will come up, and then put your text inside them.

Solved the puzzle now after checking out that walkthrough. And I was nearly (but not quite) doing all the right things.

I'm glad you figured it out. I don't remember that puzzle being timed. There is another timed puzzle coming up though...something to look forward to...LOL.

Why, oh why, do these developers put timed puzzles in adventure games!!!

I considered that puzzle to be "timed" because the cat was always faster than me - until I realised I needed to go about it in a different way 😉

And I agree, Draclvr, we Adventurers can do without them !! 🙃

Totally agree we can do without the timed segments...but we (at least I) am old. I think the timed vignettes appeal to the younger set...

I'm really old too and I play FPS and RPG games with plenty of action and killing monsters. I'm OK with that. But when I sit down to an adventure game, I don't want anything timed that I have to "beat."

I think I might have found it. But got past it. If it was reminiscent of Full Throttle ??
Phew !!

There's the "Full Throttle" one and the one just before it I had a really hard time with the very first and the latter. I was moving quickly enough but my mouse wouldn't click in time. Turns out there is a lag issue but only for certain unlucky computers. By the time I'd pulled my hair out over the first two timed puzzles, I coincidentally got a new computer and was able to sail past "Full Throttle." Bottom line...don't let these timed puzzles deter you from playing the game...you may have little problem with them. Trackpads in particular seem to be a possible culprit.

Is a "trackpad" something to do with Laptops ?? I only play on Desktops.

I didn't have any inventory challenges...and yes, a trackpad is the mouse-equivalent on a laptop.

Oh, it was a self inflicted issue because of not wearing my Adenturer's hat properly

Hi Guys

Currently playing this game and selected programmer as my job, I am at the part in Libriary where I have spoken to the GRRCL, I checked a Youtube Walkthrough and it shows Milda receiving a Text from her friend Dana, but in the version I am playing it does not give me that option.
I even restarted the game and followed the video step by step and arrived at the same point with the same results, anyone had the same issue or does this affect the games outcome

Hi safc, if you chose Programmer at the start of the game, you should have picked up a USB stick in Milda's apartment. Think about how you can use it to get the Librarian's password. That's your goal. This one part of the game differentiates action (and inventory) based on the profession you chose.
