Thank you for offering the game, Bluto. Anyone interested in this offer would probably like to know if this includes the box and the manual? Or is it the jewel case and game by itself? These details are always welcome. wave

Unfortunately Bluto avoids downloading games as he has not had good experiences with it.

Bluto, if you want a physical disc, your best bet is probably something like this on eBay. There may be better offers on eBay - you would need to search for it.

Hi Bluto, if you are looking for Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time, your best bet is to purchase the game as a download from GOG, because the game has been tweaked to run on newer systems.

I know you don't like downloads, but you are going to find it increasingly difficult to find older games on CD unless you are willing to go somewhere like eBay and bid on used copies.

It certainly does not hurt to ask, though. smile

Hi Bluto.

I have the "enhanced DVD version" of Legacy of Time (which does away with having to use 4 CDs) and I would be willing to send you the DVD + Manual in a padded envelope for free - but would have to ask for something towards the cost of postage as it is expensive to post from the UK to the USA.

However, if you are interested, I would first like to send you an email with instructions I found for getting it to play on more modern machines, to see if you think you would want to try that smile

Cheers.

Mad.

Hi petert.

I would think if Bluto wanted the DVD he would have replied by now.

So I've sent you a private message with the "getting it to run on a modern machine" suggestions. To see if you still want to go ahead.

Cheers.

Bluto may still want the game when he sees your post. He has not logged in since the last time he posted so may not have seen your kind offer as of yet.

[Although with him specifically "asking" for a disk version I had expected him to have checked back by now to see if one had been offered. And I did also send him a PM.]

I am late to this thread (and Bluto may not care anymore), but I have a great condition boxed Legacy of Time CD version I am willing to sell for reasonable price. I'm in California. Though sounds like Mad has the best offer if I were to replay game I'd want to do it with DVD or as she suggests use GOG.

For a physical CD, your best bet is probably eBay or Amazon.

It is available as a download from Steam and GOG. GOG sells Dracula 4 and 5 together as a bundle here.

Hi Bluto, I have seen people post lists here in the past of older games they were selling, but nothing lately.

Your best bet, other than someone here on the forum, is probably eBay if you are looking for physical CDs.

if you tet me know which games you are looking for,

You could always pick up the game from eBay, like the one listed here or here.

I sold mine on eBay years ago, or else I could have sent it to you.

Hello Bluto,

I first need to know what you're windows system is.
I have a lot of games that can be played on Windows 98 or XP
If i knew what it is, than that would save me
some real work.

A pleasant side info, I found "Gray Matter" the game you were looking for
(I found it were I had forgotten to look! yes)

So That game would be one of those I would be willing to send to you.

Awaiting you're reply, Rob smile wink

Hello Bluto,

I found you're system specifications on one of the posts,
I could send you, for example, a choice of 3 games
of the following:

Atlantis 2, Atlantis 3, Atlantis Evolution, Broken Sword 2,
Broken Sword The Sleeping Dragon
Cameron Files (both of them), Dark Fall 2 (Lights out)
Dark Fall 3 (Lost Souls), The Dig,
Full Throttle (The original version), Sam and Max hit the road,
Sherlock Holmes (The testament), Sherlock Holmes The Awakened.
Secret of Alamut, SCRATCHES, Nibiru

I would like to have a response though,

Robert yes oops

Hi Bluto, I sent your address information on to Rob, as we are not allowed to post physical address information in a forum post due to lurkers and spammers.

Hello Bluto,

You did not send you're e-mail address to me,
I looked at you're profile on the Boomer site,
and used that e-mail address.

Have a nice day, (hope the games arrive soon!), Rob wave sherlock

Hi Bluto, I just deleted your email address and sent this information as a private message to Rob, as our forum rules prohibit posting email addresses in forum posts.

If you read the posts in this thread, you will see that Rob sent you the games on the 19th of November, so please look out for them if you haven't received them already.

I removed your physical address from your note as we do not allow sharing this information on a public forum, only through private messages.

As far as I know, the address you posted (the one that does not use a post office box) is the address to which Rob sent the games, as it is the same one you posted here and that I sent on to Rob via private message.

hello Bluto,

I have had the same message when
I checked where the package is now.
It is all going very slowly, must be due to
Covid (understaffed here and in the U.S.A as well....)

Well, we're near the finish line! yes smile12

Thanks for keeping me posted. The manual says that you must be connected to the internet when you are using the activation code - have you been connected to the internet when you were trying it? If not, I would try again while connected.

If several attempts of trying to activate the key don't work,
try to play the game in Compatibility mode "Windows XP and with
Administrator rights."

Good luck, Rob luck

Thanks, Rob. Just heard from Bluto and he said he tried the following:

Quote
I installed the game on a Xp system the cannot connect to the internet then installed it on a laptop that was connected to
the internet and keyed in the Product key exactly how it was as follows Z2-2CVAV3-9ZV2UA-RAYMMR-6Y54A9
And i came back with incorrect Key thats all I can tell you
Thank You

From now on, let's all post about this only in the Glitches forum in the thread Testament of Sherlock Holmes. It will be less confusing that way. wave

Hi Bluto smile

I made the Legacy of Time offer to you in July of last year but when I stopped hearing back from you I eventually gave the game to a charity shop here in the UK so I’m afraid I can’t help you out now.

Sorry.

Bluto, Mad just posted here (see the post above your most recent one) that due to the fact that you never responded to her offer, she gifted the game to a charity shop and no longer has the game anymore. Sorry.

Not see my post and if she new how much shipping and handling would be

I will have to check and see if any of the other game boomers have the same game for
Sale or trade have to wait and see if I get any response.

While you did respond to Mad eventually, it was weeks after you she had replied to your showing an interest. It would be a good idea if you try to do another transaction on the Trading Post that you check GameBoomers regularly to see if someone has responded to your inquiries. If a month or so goes by and no one has heard from you, it becomes reasonable to assume that you are no longer interested, and that is what happened here.

Just some friendly advice for the future. wave

Just to be absolutely clear, I offered my DVD version of Legacy of Time for “free” - just asking for a contribution to the expensive mailing costs from the UK to the USA.
But after passing on the system requirements, on July 21st, I never heard back.
So many weeks later I gave the game to a charity shop.

Unfortunately the only place I know of to get disks for the game at this point would be eBay.

Hi Bluto, sorry for delayed reply I don't check the trading post too often. For shipping cost I would need to know your zipcode (you are in USA?). PC big box shipping usually between $8 - $15 depending on distance (I am shipping from California) and whether you are okay with USPS ground or would rather have USPS priority (or UPS ground versus UPS air). Feel free to give me a PM with that info. As for game cost the last decent condition CIB sold on eBay for $25 including shipping so I would aim to get roughly 10% below that price so again depending on where you live we can get total price to around $20-22

Hi Marian

As I stated in a previous tread I blew my chance to get a free game Legacy Dark shadows for free

I would be more the willing to buy or trade for the above game the one I currently have
Has a bug in it and does not work correctly if any of the boomers has the game for trade
Or sale I would be willing to do either.
Buy it or trade for it

Thank You

Bluto

Bluto, Mad gave the game away long ago when she didn't get a response from you. Perhaps do you mean to respond to the offer from lakerz above? The costs have been broken down for you if you want the game.

Bluto, have you read the post that lakerz did right above yours? That's where HE specifies the cost as he is the one willing to sell it. Just read his post.

Marian is having weather related internet problems right now.

Bluto, I said look at the POST above yours. We are not using email here. And I said lakerz just posted this yesterday, not me... look above your post from earlier today. I will copy and paste below, but you will have to respond to lakerz, not me as I do not have the game. We're trying to help you out here! We sure appreciate you coming back often to update.

I hope, lakerz!

Hi Draclvr

Forget about that game the total shipping cost would be more than the game is worth
I will check with other boomers to see if the have the game and might want to trade
Thanks anyway

Since the game is currently selling on eBay for around $25 including shipping, it sounds like this is the best offer you will get, Bluto. No one else has responded on this thread with the game to trade, so this might be one you will have to pass on.

Did you get lakerz's PM? You really should respond to LAKERZ since he sent you the private message.

Yes that is true. Sadly shipping cost inflation has gone crazy the past few years. Perhaps you can find a local copy Bluto maybe keep an eye on Facebook Marketplace for folks near you selling PC games. Good luck in your search.

I'm confused, I *think* Bluto is saying his son is buying it on Amazon and not my copy. Totally okay by me. I am headed out on a trip so will not be able to view posts for a few weeks, but have fun with the game Bluto

I'm not sure, but I "think" you are correct. His son will find the game is not available at Amazon. As Marian told Bluto, it appears this game can only be found elsewhere on E- bay.

Have fun on your trip!

I don’t see ANY for sale at Amazon UK but there ARE several on EBay UK.
Some at silly, extortionate prices but some more reasonable offers 🙂

Hi, Bluto! If any Boomers had the game to sell, they would post here. We know Amazon doesn't have it, but as we have said before, it can be found on Ebay.

There's one on eBay for a reasonable price.

Maybe someone here will have one also.

According to the rules posted by Ana at the top of this forum, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is not allowed to be traded or sold here due to the activation code. Rob did not realize this at the time the game was sent to you. Thank you for the thought, though.

That would be too bad if you do that, Bluto, because they won't be able to play the game either. I would suggest just disposing of it since it is useless.
