Mrs Worrier and I were both flummoxed by this clue:

Lack errand? No one is working (4)

We had -i-s. Here is the answer (in a spoiler in case anyone wants to try it):
miss

Can anyone explain it?

To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self.
I wonder what's on television...?

I'll start but might need some British help.

Lack = direct
errand = mission
no one = noi
is working deletes those letters?

The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.

Sounds good Sue, but the "is working" bit is incredibly iffy, even for a Britcrypt think

I think the justification is this (after a certain amount of head scratching too early in the morning, but sharpened by wordle, dordle and quordle...):
no = delete/without, one = i, is working = on, thus mission without i on = miss blackkitty
