Oh my goodness, I had heard folks on GB talk about this game, and when I was on a buying spree I bought it for the Wii. I started it and was dismayed to see I could not read any of the instructions.

Waited for hubby to come home, and he couldn't read them either--too blurry. I enjoyed the little bit I could play on the Wii but was tired of straining my eyes.

So thought to check out BFG, downloaded it and am totally entranced! It is too much fun!

I have a question for you veterans though.

The game tells me to deny my opponent the color mana he needs by using it myself.

I understand that, but I don't know how to tell what color gems he needs. I can tell mine by hoovering over my spells, but that did not seem to work for him.

Any wisdom will be gladly accepted puppy

If you look on his side where his spells are it shows what colors he needs. I don't remember if it tells you how much of each but you will at least know what colors he needs. I finished the PC game and am now playing on my DS. I really didn't pay to much attention to what my oppnent needed. I concentrated more on what I needed. I love this game. I am going to get a Wii as soon as Walmart gets some back in. I was going to get it for the Wii but now I don't think I will. I hope this helps a little. wave

Thanks Connie--no don't get it for the Wii. The graphics are no where near as good as the PC. sad

Thanks L4L, now all I need is to able to get the Wii. I just checked and it does show how many of each color your oppnent needs to be able to cast a spell. If you could sugest any good games for the Wii I would appreciate it. You can email me if this is not the right place to answer. wave

Hi L4L,I'm also obsessed with Puzzle Quest! I bought it from BF when it first came out,I have 4 new Adventure games waiting to be installed and played. But I can't get away from this game to even attempt to play them! wink I do what Connie does I concentrate on what I colors I need rather then the opponents! luck with your game wave

I may not have gone where I intended to go,but I think I have ended up where I need to be.

I loved this game so much I ended up buying the retail boxed version. And I finished this game last week at about level 47; it was great fun right up to the end. wave

It's good to see new players drawn into the fold! grin

You guys got my attention with this game topic so I decided to try out the 60 min trial.

WOW! there sure is a lot that you can do - building your fortress, capturing and training monsters . . .

I especially like the way the developers integrated the match 3 into the game. I like it much better when I can look over the board and stategise a bit instead of rushing through so the countdown timer doesn't run out.

I see that the game can be played as multi-player and over a LAN - have any of your tried these options yet? If so how was the game play? My husband and I regularily play Patrician on our home network and just love it cool

Now if only I had one of those handy coupons wink I think I used the last one to purchase Fairway Solitaire lol

I haven't played it with anyone else. But it is a lot of fun.

Don't worry--now you know what you want to spend next month's coupon on puppy

They have a coupon each month help gosh I think I really need to pay attention to BFG a bit more closely. I get the news letters but I guess I haven't been a member long enough to realize the coupons. Just thought the one in Dec was a Christmas time deal . . .

Skye, it depends on whether you are a game club member or not.

Anyone can go and buy a game from them at any time. I think most of those are $19.99.

However, you can also join the club. They have several levels of membership. Obviously, the more coupons you commit to buy, the cheaper it is.

For instance, when I first joined, I committed to 3 coupon (they charge your card on the same day each month). That was $9.99 per coupon at that time.

I soon discovered I would be buying more games, so after my 3 months were up I rejoined for 12 months at $6.99, so they charge my card each month on the same day for 6.99, and then I can get any game for that amount.

I can also buy extra credits for $6.99 if my monthly credit is gone and I want more games.

The credits are good forever.

I hope I did not mislead using the word "coupon."

Hi looney4labs,
Thank you so much for explaining how the Big Fish Game Club works. I was confused between the monthly credit and the extra credits. I signed up for a year and thought that buying my first 12 games finished the commitment that I signed for. When I bought my next 2 games I found out I had to buy credits first and that confused me no end. I couldn't imagine what happened to the other 11 credits, but I wanted the games so I went along with it and figured that some day I would find out how the Game Club credits worked. So now I know! Again, more thanks!

To love is to be happy with!
