I'm so stuck near the first of the game after the robbery. I've talked to the director and should be able to get a ladder but no guard. I've got all the foot prints .Seen the rubber marks and the envelope that I need to get too in the ceiling. Where do I get the ladder. Followed the w/t gone back over a dozen times and see nothing I missed. Any ideas or can someone send a save?? Thank you Diane

Did you click (not just see) on all 4 rubber marks on the floor? Holmes should say something which should let him know that there was a ladder there.
Then look up and click also (no just see) on the envelope up on the ceiling for him to know he needs a ladder?

Then go to the director's office and talk to him. The guard should either come in or be outside the door.

Not sure if I clicked or just looked I'll go back and look again. Diane

Sami, did you get from Sherlock a comment about the lenght of the shoe/foot prints? Did you go to the restoration room? Did you see the prints outside the director's office and in the entrance stairs and more.

Yes cheif I did all that. I went back and replayed again still no guard. I clicked on all 4 black marks and clicked on the envelope. It said I needed the ladder. I don't know what else to try. Diane

Is there no ladder outside the door of the director's office?
Just an idea - click on the wall where the stolen painting was.

Diane, hopefully someone has a save for you, but if not, why not try the old "go back to the last save and play forward following the walkthrough step by step" method? It works a surprising number of times...

There was something wrong with the first game I started. The screen was all dark after the robbery. I replayed it and it was not dark got the ladder. Thanks all. Diane

This is going to be a buggie game for me I think. Now the curser is stuck on the combination lock on the crate. Unless I can get a save I'm afraid I can't go any further. I've tried to replay it several times and same thing happens. Really disapointed so far. Diane

Sami did you look at all the paintings required to obtain the numbers to get the puzzle solution?
The lock won't work until you found all four of them and clicked on that painting.

Yes I found all the paintings and got the numbers. The hand curser won't move on the trunk. It's stuck in one place. When I saved the game to get help I went back in and on the save it's all blurred . Tried sevsral times and it happens every time. Diane

I reinstalled and it took me all day to get back to where I am now. The game is running fine now but I'm so stuck. I can not find the bird in the tree. I've been walking around looking in every tree so my neck is stiff. Someone please tell me which tree to look in. Diane

Be patient in this part of the game Diane. Have you seen any seeds scattered on the lawn area and maybe a feather. The bird will be in the trees in that area. I think you should be in the white tower area to see the first one.

Yes I saw the seeds but no black feather. Still looking.

While facing the White Tower, there is a tree to your left and 3 trees to your right.
The bird is on the tree on your left.
Click on it and it will fly to any of the trees on your right. In one of my replays it moved to the first tree on the right and on second replay it flew to the one on the middle.

Thanks MaG got it. Game does have a prablem so hope I can keep it going the saved games look black or blurry and alot of the pictures are in the dark. Diane
