I downloaded again yesterday and made a new profile but I did not get another trial period. To buy a game that I had problems with is not a solution for me. But at least the developer is trying to work with the gaming public. thumbsup for that!

This is on my desktop but I don't play these games on my notebook so I am not sure I will bother with downloading it there. If it makes it to BFG I will at least give it another try if possible.

How many areas are there to search on this game? Is it a long game or a short game?

I think you're supposed to look for a matching astrological sign in the area where the "diamonds" are supposed to be.There should be a comment in that area to tell you which key [sign] to search for.

It isn't difficult to find the "69" cancer sign (think it is cancer) and then you must do a soduku puzzle to get the key or you can skip it and the key will just appear for you.

Monte Cristo has been modified since the first release and is not supposed to be as dark a game now. I haven't tried it yet because the earlier posting that said they were giving an additional hour demo for the changes didn't work for me. I am going to try it now - again - on BFG.

The game premise is good but it was just too difficult to see everything on the first release.

**edit: The screens are a LOT easier to see now, thank you very much! But I ran out of time as the new demo picked up where I had already been stuck. A suggestion for the future - an undo button would be nice on your gems puzzle.

I can't find any "key". There isn't any indication of what sign to look for. The only signs I've seen are on an alter in one of the hidden object scenes, but in the "diamond" cave there is no astrological sign that I can find. I cannot progress it seems until I find the key and access the secret area. If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Patsy,

How did you find out it was Aquarius? I never saw any hints or indication of that. I am "Investigating" the girl Mercedes. I wonder if there was some indication of her birth sign or something like it that I missed.

I love the game but am stuck big time. I had to follow the sign of Scorpio... found it and it took me to a puzzle where you are putting green and red astrological signs into a grid. I am down to two to put in and they won't go in anywhere so I can't finish the game. Anyone have a secret to solving this one?

Evidently every suspect, you look for a different zodiac sign. There was a place on 1 of the screens that said to look. It had a bunch of blue stars where you click.
Hope you can find it, Kim.

The magnifying glass shows what sign you need to look for on the Island, in order to find the key.

Now, I have a problem with where to click when finding the "Light" it fills the room and when I clicked a hint, it circled all the light in the room, but where do you click to have it found? And I've only got about 3 minutes left, and if I random click, I lose my time.

I didn't realize each suspect would be a different zodiac sign - sorry - but it does make sense. I guess we need Margie and a walkthrough?

Need a walk through badly... I had to skip the puzzles.

And... what the heck is a HANK?

NY, I wonder if they are talking about a Hank of hair? Or could it be a Hankie mispelled?

Thanks, Patsy,
for posting about the place with the floating blue stars. I saw it but didn't know I was supposed to go there and click on it, so I ignored it until I read what you wrote. When I went back to the game I went there and sure enough it was the right move and I was able to continue with the game. Otherwise I still would be wondering what to do! You really helped me a lot, thanks again!

I am loving this, despite the hank ! And we would call a pole trap a bear trap, I was looking for a long stick with a trap on the end.

I have started to leave my Google up under the game so I can look up the items that I have no idea what they are. It helps but even Google didn't have Hank at least not on the first 2 or 3 pages... it just had famous Hanks.

It's fun to learn new objects. I love the game but really would love to try solving some of the puzzles to get the keys but I can't understand what we are supposed to do, the directions seem vague to me. I'm just glad you can skip them. I'll find out how to do them and go back when I play the second time.

If you are trying to find a puddle on the ship, look for a paddle instead.
