Spine-tingling adventure game joins hallowed hall of adventure classics.

Quote:
Got Game Entertainment today announced that in the 10-year history of leading adventure game site Just Adventure, only a handful of adventure games have been awarded a review grade of “A+”. Included in this exclusive list are such classics as “The Longest Journey”, “Syberia I”, “Syberia II”, “Leisure Suit Larry 7”, “Scratches: Director's Cut” (also from Got Game Entertainment) and, now, “The Lost Crown: A Ghost-hunting Adventure”. Further, among those awarded Just Adventure’s highest rating, “The Lost Crown: A Ghost-hunting Adventure” ranks among the very few created almost entirely by one individual, Jonathan Boakes (“Dark Fall”, “Dark Fall II: Lights Out”).

“When we first learned Jonathan Boakes was creating a new adventure game, we knew we would be in for something special,” said Just Adventure founder Randy Sluganksi. “But the chilling, intricately woven story, as well as the sheer size of the ‘The Lost Crown: A Ghost-hunting Adventure’ exceeded all expectations.”

“This sort of acknowledgement from Just Adventure, who are highly respected in the adventure gaming community, is definitely an honor”, said Boakes. “I am thrilled that ‘The Lost Crown: A Ghost-hunting Adventure’ is ranked in such rarified company”.

I have to agree with the rating....I was weary and bored with adventure games and enjoyed the DarkSide far better, and just when I was ready to throw in the towel, came The Lost Crown. I love it! It's a true adventure. bravo

It's comforting when you absolutely agree with the reviews/ratings.

I played too many stinkers dragon, I buy all the games to support the genre, but I have to say I am much more careful this year. I'd gladly pay twice as much for a "Lost Crown" kind of game then 19.99 for a one that is slapped together.

I just started this tonight and I am totally impressed by this game - graphics, story, characters, ambience, puzzles, exploring, everything! On day 2 now and excited to see how the rest of the game unfolds.

After I finish this, it will give me a kick in the pants to go back and play Dark Fall I and II which I abandoned. Not sure why I abandoned them. I just go through phases on types of games I play I guess. smile

I hope it's good, got Vista just for this game and had to order it when I couldnt find anyone that sold it. BestBuy, to my suprise, said they had a big back order for the game and I would have to wait. Bought purchased from Amazon.com

I purchased the game at BestBuy last week. I'm playing Rhem3 and will install Lost Crown this weekend. It sounds like my kind of game!

For those new to adventure gaming, Lost Crown let's you know what an adventure game really is. Haven't had a true adventure game in a long long time. Thanks, Jonathan!!!!

I dont want to start a new thread for this question so I will just ask here.

Is Dark Fall 1 connected to Dark Fall 2? Are we recommended to play DF1 in order to understand the plot of DF2?

Doffy -- it's been a long time since I played them, but as far as I can remember, the plots of the two games are not connected.
