Hi All,

I am trying to light the furnace. I followed MaG's WT exactly, however, I can't get the pot in the furnace. Is he supposed to comment when the "fire is steady"? as he hasn't. I just can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I did the bellows 3 times on both instance I need the fire built up. That makes it hot enough to melt things.
Have you done the caly mold and moved it to the side before you tried the pot with the metal?

I had to walk around the place after putting the the mold and come back to the fire to put it aside with the gloves and then put the pot of metal and wait again .

Need help !!! I'm in the darkroom in the final process of developing the picture. First sink--20 sec. second sink-80sec and third sink 80sec. My problem is when place in second sink for 80sec the picture gets ruined. I have started from the beginning several times and I'm getting frustrated. I tried a little over 80--under80 and right on the 80 sec. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? No matter what I do he says the picture is ruined . (I have the right chemicals )

Is this the sundried picture?
If so, I think you better double check the reagent/amount you made for solution 2.

2. Place 40 ounces of water from the faucet of the big container beside the sinks on the middle sink.
Take 1 ounce of Gold chloride (AuCl3) found on shelf above the sinks and add it to the middle sink.
Take 1 gram of Ammonium rhodanide (NH4SCN) found at shelf above the sinks and add it to the middle sink.

Yes MaG I have the correct chemicals in sink two. I will recheck again to be sure. Right on MaG--I used the wrong measure cup. Thanks I'm all set now.
