I have an opportunity of getting this game from Portugal but the documents are in German. Does anyone know where to get an english version of this game?

I posted my request on the RPG forums by mistake-sorry. What I need is the documents written in english as the one I am getting is in german. This is from a trader in portugal who I am talking to. When I get this game, can I immediately change the language to English as I don't understand any german at all?

Hi grandpa68 -- the version of Dreamfall I played was the North American version and it was only in English. I don't know if the European version had multiple languages on the disk, but it is possible.

Hi grandpa68 -- you can purchase Dreamfall at Interact CD for $12.95 (see the link in yellow at the top of thisi page).

That way you'll know that it's in English.

(I'm going to merge your two Dreamfall threads.) thumbsup

I have the UK version of this game. It does only have the English version of the game. It is possible that the European (released in Germany?) would have other languages than English, though.

You can still order Dreamfall etc. from the Funcom store, too.

I don't know the legality or ethics of this but there's a site called replacementdocs.com that have pdf versions of many game manuals. They're supposedly for people who have 'lost' the original game manuals but my guess is the site is used mainly by people who have pirated copies. I, myself, have used it on a couple of occasions because I've bought (legal!) games off ebay that had no manuals with them as they were cheaper. I've just looked and they have an English version of the Dreamfall manual. The direct link is:

http://jarcas.dreamhosters.com/rdocs/Dreamfall_-_Manual_-_PC.pdf

You will need a pdf reader like Adobe Reader installed (freely available from the Adobe website).

To the mods of this board: I hope I haven't contravened any rules you have, if so please delete this post and accept my apologies.

EDIT:OK, didn't realise that was my first post. Makes me look well dodgy wink I've been registered a while and a longtime lurker. I assumed I'd posted before, obviously not! Hello all! wave

We have used and posted about replacementdocs.com many times especially in our Trading Post. They do remove those docs that the developers and publishers have asked to be removed.

welcome to "posting on GameBoomers" Lycanthrope.

Hi Ana wave

Thanks for the welcome!

Love this site, I don't post as a rule because as soon as I see something that I think I can help with, someone else has got in before me! Which is good, obviously. I'll try and be more proactive in the future smile
